Would i need a 650cfm carb after installing a high rise intake manifold?

It's all jet size and powervalve, also make sure your float level is sorted, then just swap jets eg bigger/smaller, and powervalve to suit timing

I have a 32-36 weber on my 1641cc vw engine.it has a big lift cam,so it has low vuccum on idle.i can not get it to idle.can you help me. i have tried to weaken the power valve spring to compensait for the...

altering the compensating valve has nothing to do with the idle circuit
the compensating valve is what gives extra fuel for acceleration ( accelerator pump)
putting a hole in the butterfly is making for less vacuum as vacuum happens when the air flow in the manifold is restricted--not lessened
what you need to do is enlarge the idle circuit port to let more air past the butterfly, increase idle jet size or increase the idle rpms to around 1200 rpms as high lift cams are not idling cams
The cam you should have used is an extended duration cam which has the same lift as a standard cam but has control of the valve over more degrees of rotation
same effect with less lumpy running

My EPSON Stylus Photo 1400 Ink Jet Printer is printing blank photos. The ink levels are fine, it's feeding photo paper fine, it's making the same noise as it does when it prints but the photos are...

Hi,

Your problems states that photos are being blank when trying to print it.
Please try these tips.

  • Make sure your printer is selected in the Print window or in the Macintosh Page Setup and Print windows.
  • The print head nozzles may need cleaning.
  • Make sure your printer software settings are set for the paper size you're using.

Plus,i also wanted to know if you can print ordinary documents or print a test page.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Lines across photo when printed

If the lines are white you probably have clogged jets in the print heads. Try several head cleaning runs and see if that clears it.

On my harley evo i had the heads milled .70 put an ev3 cam i swear my valves are to tight it runs hard but when in high gear twist the throtel it sounds like its poping out the carb wich is a s7s shorty...

If you had the heads milled 0.070", your valves are not too tight as a result of this. The travel in the tappets is 0.200". Factory pushrods are set so that the tappets run at midways so you should have 0.030" left. If you're running adjustable pushrods, which I would suggest in your case with the milled heads and the agressive camshaft, you should adjust the pushrods so that they compress the plunger in the tappet 0.100".

Now as for the spitting back in the carb, it sounds like the carb is jetted too lean. I would replace the main jet with the next size larger and try it again. If it still does it, go one more size. Never move anymore than one size at a time. You should be somewhere between a 74 and an 80 main jet, 29.5 or 31 on the slow jet. Of course, these are just guesses on my part. The only way to tell for sure is have the bike run up on a dyno and use an exhaust gas analyzer to measure the mixture.

Good Luck
Steve

What is the factory settings on the car jets

Dont know what you are trying to set. Only thing about the jets you can set outside of changing the jet size is the little clip on the main jet needle top. Normally the middle groove.
You can pop the factory plugs on the primary jets (idle jets) and mess with them a little to richen or lean it out a bit but they are preset at the factory. Normally a bit lean.
