If i remember right there is a solenoid valve on them when starting it has to be down for engine to start. if it fails it dont get the pressure needed to start. when engine is running and warmed up it opens. cannot remember were it is but I used to have one a long long time ago. and it was this fault.

I have a 94 jeep cherokee that wont turn over or wont start?

No cranks is here
https://www.jeepdied.com/no-crank.html
TURNS OVER MEANS ZERO.
the starter just CRANK.
THE START MOTOR TURNS
IF lucky so does the crank shaft turn.
then the engine starts and runs, (this is not turns)
it's running
the EFI then sustains running , if ABS stays happy.
the engine can also stall.

I have a 2005 mitsubishi outlander. It wont start after I ran out of gas. I bought a new battery but the car still wont start

It's still out of gas until the lines are purged of air. The fuel pump has to run awhile to build up pressure. Keep cranking. If you can take the small gauge wire off the starter easily, all you have to do is turn the key to the start position and hold it there for a while. Listen for the fuel pump. When it slows down or stops then reconnect the wire and it should start.

Mass air flow sensor location and diagnos

Look at the oxygen sensor. If the map was bad you'd get a overheated catalytic converter.

Engine has air supplied starter and has no air in fuel system why won't it start

Are you able to crank it?
Also check the engine block heater for functionality. It won't start else. Also I am assuming all fuel lines are primed? try cracking the fuel line to each injector as you crank it, and make sure the fuel delivery pump is working, This will also bleed the air from the system.

Cranks over wont start, starter stays engaged when key is released

Does the starter stop after a couple of seconds? If so this is normal. The vehicle not starting is not normal. Check the basics first. Do you have spark and fuel pressure?

Hi. I have a Briggs & Stratton 2800PSI gas pressure washer. I can get it to start, but after about 5 min, then it quits. I have cleaned the carb, change oil, changed plug, new gas, cleaned/checked...

if it wont start, check for spark.how you do that,ok take the spark plug wire out put it close to the sparkplug(use some gloves or something to insulate your self from get electric shot from the spark) find some one who pull the start rope, if you dont see any spark between wire and spark plug, tehre its not spark ,it will never start.you will have to remove the start recoil on the botton is like a damper whitch will have to be remove also ,on botton of it its like a coil whitch with the rotation of the damper when you pull the starter rope provoke the spark and send it to spark plug along with the gas combution get the engine started.that coil some time goes bad and have to be change.if you have electric starter. check the starter also.good luck

You hold start botton it runs but no heat, you release start botton it stops

Check the wires to the switch on the motor, or the switch itself is not "clicking". Unplug the appliance before removing any covers.

Starter wont stop spinning

The starter relay may be sticking on start. Get someone to start truck and when problem starts hit relay lightly wih hammer. A cheap voltmeter will tell you if relay is sticking or still energised from ingnition switch after key release from start position.
