Question about Xerox Phaser 6360 Laser Printer
This Phaser 6360 is about 3 years old, less than 3000 pages. No problems prior to this, other than an occasional paper jam. Using Xerox toner, high capacity cartridges, all nearly full. Black cartridge replaced just prior this message. Red light on, will not respond to any command. Have removed/replaced magenta cartridge several times. Have turned off/on, waited seconds, minutes, hours in between attempts. Message remains the same.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Yeah I had a look at the website there too, try powering down again and plugging it out for a longer period of time. You need to get the whole machine to reset and loose all saved info in the bios. Also cleaning it out of all loose toner on any contacts might help!

Each color has its own laser. Use the cleaning wand in the front door to clean the lens covers for each color. You will need to remove the waste toner cartridge in front of the the slots to do this. If that does not cure the problem, you will need to replace the developer housings for the colors that are streaking.
The manual can be downloaded at: www.lpscomputer.com/ec/Phaser_7700_Service_Manual.pdf
and parts purchased at: http://www.lpscomputer.com/p-3063-1-116-1115-00-developer-housing.aspx

Supposedly the 6180MFP allows the user to select a non-genuine mode (select "Non-Xerox Toner" on the maintenance menu). This option is listed on page 9-18 of the User Guide, and I think it's the same as the Non-Genuine mode described on page 1-38 of the Service Manual. However, when I actually look for this option on my printer it doesn't appear to be present. Maybe Xerox removed it and didn't update the documentation? Anyone else know about this setting?

SOURCE: I have a Xerox XC1255.
That is no good at all, that means the fuser is having physical problems, or the controller of the fuser has failed. Either way it is very bad news... It basically means the printer is going to need repairs. Seeing how old this printer is and what the cost of repairs is sure to be it is hardly worth it. You can get a new laserjet printer for only $125, which is probably less than half of what it will cost in parts alone to fix that Xerox. Here is the printer I speak of or $125:
That is my recommendation for sure. Hopefully you can possibly return the toner you purchased.. if not you can sell it on ebay as being brand new, installed and used less than X number of times. Someone will definitely purchase it from you.
Sorry about the bad news there :(
