Top coupler on gas pump handle ONLY (Majestic 360 SS) is broken. Do we have to replace whole hose and handle assembly?

They now make a replacement tab so you don't have to replace the entire handle grip. The bad part is, most of the time it's the handle grip that has the broken place in the plastic, not the latch tab. That too can be bought seperately though, so you don't have to buy the hose. Call your local vac shop for assistance.

Take hose off to clean

Pull out handle as usual.
Release hose from wand and handle by pressing the pair of release clips on the handle just above where the hose enters. I have to press these clips quite hard and pull quite a bit to get the hose to come free. All the above is as you would normally use the hose.
Lay hose down to rear of machine. Just between the bottom of the hose and the machine body is a small plastic tab: pull this a little away from the machine body.
Slide bottom end of hose upwards and out of the machine.

The hose can be dismantled from the plastic fittings at each end but has not been designed for the user to do so: the hose and fittings are bought as an assembly (not expensive at about GBP15).

Take the screws out to take the handle apart. Remove the switch and take it to your hardware or local vacuum to to get the correct replacement.

How do I replace the part where the hose snaps into? It's directly behind the switch plate.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your inquiry. If you are referring to the flexible hose and where it connects to the machine (which is at the base), the entire duct assembly would require replacement. However, if you are referring to the wand handle, and where it connects to the machine behind the power button (or where the hose connects to the wand handle), part replacement is possible.

We would appreciate the opportunity to help you determine which part is necessary to resolve this problem. Please call us directly at 1-866-693-9766 (US) or 0800 298 0298 (UK) so we can provide further assistance.

Best wishes,

Jessica

Wand housing got pinched and now wand won't come out.

Hi there smartalec from NelsonVacuums.com.au here. I assume you mean that it got squashed and now the handle part that ordinarily slips inside the flexible hose is now permanently stuck in the flexible hose?.
If this is the case remove the two pieces as if they were one complete part. This can be done by removing the bin assembly, unclipping the hose / handle assembly at the top tilting it backwards and then unclip at teh bottom where the hose joins the body of your dyson vacuum cleaner.
Once you get both bits of the vacuum try and separate them again. It is unfortunately fair to assume that either one or both will need replacement but at least once their off the vacuum you will be able to see how bad it is.
By the way if you need replacement parts for your dyson vacuum cleaner send me a message or check out my website.
Hope this helps.
HAPPY VACUUMING ! :)

Little suction and pours water underneath machine on the floor. This all happens while i am using the hand attachment tool, but also occurs when i tried just the machine is running..what am i doing wrong....

Press the handle release kick-button with your foot, extend the handle all of the way back, and take a look at the gap between the base of the unit and the handle/reseviour assembly. You should see several black hoses attached to the base and running up into the handle assembly. One of them (either the clean/solution hose or the dirty water return hose) might be cracked. Turns out that might be a common problem with this model. We had a similar problem with the dirty water return hose.

We opted to not repair our unit (terrible engineering!), but you might be able to do it yourself for the cost of the part and several hours of your time. Otherwise, seek out your certified Hoover repair center for more info.

Judging by the interference between the vacuum hose and the "dirty water return" hose, there is NO WAY those two hoses can exist together in that housing without causing the dirty water return hose can last for many full bends of the handle. We opted to not repair our unit, but you might be able to do it yourself for the cost of the part and several hours of your time. Notice how the hose has a groove just around the outer edge of the gray plastic near the white plastic insert. The hose is held into the handle buy two "tongues" inserted into this groove. One of these tongues is on the end of the top plastic piece of the handle. The second is on the piece of plastic that is slid into the little hole at the base of the handle and it is visible in the picture.

To remove the first, you'll have to remove the two screws in the top of the handle that hold the top plastic piece. This can be a challenge unless you have the right tool. It's essentially a hex-star allen wrench tool that is required, I'm guessing about 1/16 inch. I had one in my tool box that fit. Remove the screws and pop the top plate off. This frees the first tongue from the groove. Now, just get a screw driver (or use your finger) to press the plastic piece inserted in the hole at the bottom of the handle. Press from the "t" side and this should slide right out. Now your hose will slide right out of the handle and you can replace the old with new. Re-insert the small plastic insert, and refasten the top plastic piece of the handle and you're good to go.
