SOURCE: replaced wd-62525 lamp, picture dim

Cleaning the mirrors will not increase the brightness much. I would double check the lamp setting in the Menu and also the setting of the picture and brightness settings. Many times these are adjustable independently for different inputs. Besides this, I would look at the Ballast and or the Power Supply to cause the problem. I would recommend a professional to look at it if it is not correctable from the Main Menu of the set.
Hope this helps,

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-65733 no picture, electrical buzzes in series

What it sound's like is that the lamp ballast is the problem. Buzzing sounds like when the power is first brought to the ballast it has to ramp up the voltage to get the lamp to light, then the voltage drops back down when the lamp is lit. Sounds like the lamp ballast isn't ramping up the voltage the way it should. May have to replace it. A good service shop would be able to do this for you.

My mitsubishi WD-65735 1080P has a green blinking light under the word lamp..what does that mean?

all these sets have a boot up if unplugged.

If power is lost or disconnected when reconnected green light will blink for about 70 seconds (set is rebooting) and then go off allowing set to be turned on.

I just replaced my bulb on my mitsubishi wd-65736 but picture is still dark looking and the bulb stays lit up after we cut the TV off. Could I have hooked the two wires up wrong?

This site lists your service manual for $7.99
https://www.completeservicemanuals.com/mitsubishi/dlp-projection-television/wd-65736-service-manual/prod_1408.html

This site claims to have a free PDF download, but the "free download" link throws you to www.tradebit.com, which sells the service manual (as a downloadable PDF file) for $7.99
http://www.promanuals.com/serviceparts/mitsubishi-wd-60735-wd-65735-wd-73735-wd-65835-wd-73835-wd-60c8-wd-65c8-wd-73c8-wd-65736-wd-73736-service-manual/

This site sells your TV service manual for $5 as a .PDF sent to your email:
http://tv-part.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=1369

If you can read/use a service manual, $5+tax is a lot better than $hundreds for a new television. Or- buy the downloadable manual, and give it to your favorite electronics friend to peruse. The darkness coming from the new lamp might bespeak of a power supply problem, or a poor connection between the lamp and the power supply. The fact that the lamp module stays on after it should go out also says power supply problem.
In the worst case, keep both your lamp modules (they're probably both good), and sell them online to help defray the cost of a new television.

I have a wd-65735 and the picture is week even with the brightness up all the way. do i need a new tube? Thank you

It is likely you need a lamp. Go to http://www.pureglare.com for best price. A lamp is needed especially if you have no discoloration of the picture. Accessing the lamp is easy by locating the access panel usually on the back of the set. Remove the door then the lamp with its housing. Inspect the lamp carefully and see if there are any bulges at the base of the filament in the center of the lamp itself. If so it is weak.

The color is really dim,

i have a wd62528 62" dlp hdtv that shows a picture but very dim. I have tried numerous things including factory reset and checking the lamp. I started to get a new lamp but was told if i have a dim picture getting a new lamp will do nothing. However, Mitsubishi support said that if i have a dim picture but was not continuing to get worse or darker, then they were 100% sure i just needed a new lamp. I'm confused. Will a new lamp solve my problem or no. i would just buy and try but it is very costly. please help

My two year old WD-65735 TV's screen is hard to view unless we turn up the brightness and turn off all the room lights.

Time to replace the lamp. If it been at least two years then its time for a new one... This will restore brightness level of the picture to normal. Also while back there make sure you clean any clogged vents or filters.
