Question about Computers & Internet
What do I need to do to fix this problem im tired of looking at a pic that is red
First thing first, have you try anoter video monitor and another video cable?
if they all get out red, you video port is shot. if they come good the maybe the VGA cable have some pin broken (bended) does happen a lot. then if the cable is good then at last monitor can be bad. look at the back if the connector is not broken.
now, if the monitor is reddish, and other are good on your source.
there is many electronic faillure that can get to this. neon inverter is one of them and neon itself also.

SOURCE: about colors
It sounds like either an internal wire is loose, or possibly in the connector to your video cable. Make sure the connections for your video cable are tight both at the computer and at the monitor. If they are, try a different cable (cables are much cheaper than monitors, always start with the easy solutions first). If the problem is internal to the monitor, then it is up to you to decide whether to try to diagnose/fix it yourself, or buy a new monitor. The cost to pay someone else to fix it is likely more than the value of the monitor.

You may want to try another video cable. If that not it then you may want to open the OSD (On Screen Display) menu and see if it goes over that. If it dose you may have to get service from Viewsonic. If not then you may want to try the monitor on another computer to make sure its not traveling with the monitor.
