Question about Masterbuilt 20070106 Electric Smoker

Masterbuilt ea2 error code

Rolled it out from garage storage and the temp probe displays EA2 error message. Unplugged, re-plugged. No luck. Air temp in 60's so not a cold issue.

We bought a new masterbuilt electric smoker. When we power it on, we get the message EAA1 and it shuts off.

Take off the electronic control unit and make sure the probe is still connected (unplugged and check the pins for damage). After reassembling the unit everything should work fine. My guess is that the probe is not properly connected, Once it was properly connected, the actual temperature showed on the display. Hope that helps.

Masterbuilt smoker error message EA2

EAA2 means connection to the meat probe is lost. Either a broken, burnt wire or the probe itself. Check the probe wire carefully to spot a break.

Why am I getting an EAA1 error after 5 minutes of first use?

I have the same model and drew this schematic after taking it apart to fix another problem. An EAA1 means that the control display unit is getting a bizarre reading from the temperature sensor on the box. Could be a connector problem or a faulty temp sensor. The temperature sensor has a long path through the relay power supply board in the bottom then up to the control display unit. Unfortunately the only place you can easily check is the 5 pin connector directly under the control display unit. Try reseating this connector. The box can be opened up to check everything else but it's a real bear.

Washer want wash

Hi Lisa Cornett - Typically error code EAE indicates a sensing failure on the line safe relay. I suggest having the power company check the frequency and voltage of the incoming water. If correct, for error code E5C, the speed control board will need replacing by a professional. If correct for error codes EA1, EA2, etc then more than likely the main control board will need to be replaced.

Send me error EA2

EA2 means the machine counted 2 bills as one bill. Typically, you must remove the bills and put them all back on the hopper when this happens. If you get the EA2 error often, adjust the position of the bill thickness adjuster. This can be found at the top of the counter. Adjust it to the right (+) to loosen the tension, or to the left (-) to tighten it. Test both to see which solves your issue.

Masterbuilt electric smoker is brandnew plugged it in runs for about 5 minutes then flashes EAA1 and showing the temp is 32??

Had the exact same problems. I took off the electronic control unit and made sure the probe was still connected (unplugged and checked the pins for damage). After reassembling the unit everything worked fine. My guess is that the probe was not properly connected, therefore it was showing 32 deg all the time. Once it was properly connected, the actual temperature showed on the display. Hope that helps.

Masterbuilt smoker model 20070910 with controller error code eaaf. email: pontoon5@windstream.net

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
It is telling you that the temp is below 40 degrees F. All you need to do is warm up the temp probe to 40F and it should work just fine. Use a hand held hair dryer or a warmed up shop vac on b.l.o.w to warm it up.

Happy New Year,
Kelly

Display is reading EAAF. What does that mean?

If the internal temp is less than 40 F you will get his code. Warm up the heat sensing probe and it should work just fine. If not here is the contact number: MASTERBUILT Customer Service at 1-800-489-1581
