Control locked light come on and stay on, machine not running

What is the model number of your unit?

Press and hold the end of cycle button for 15 seconds this should clear it.

hold in the control lock button for a few seconds- it should turn the control lock off.

Press the End of Cycle Signal for 3 seconds until the Control Locked light turns off.

First remove the plug for 5 minutes and this will reset the system.


Check to see if the light beside the LOCK ICON is lit on the status lights. If it is, then the controls are locked. Press and hold the OPTIONS and SELECT buttons simultaneously until the lock light goes out. This should free up your controls so that the washer will operate normally.If the console will not respond, then you could have a failed control or a stuck button.

Press & hold 'end of cycle' at right of panel for 3 seconds. The light will come off.

You should be able to unlock the control lock by holding the "end of cycle" signal for 3 seconds or until the "control locked" status light turns off.

press the button above that light for 3 seconds and the light should go off. control lock is different than door lock. it keeps the kids out from playing with flashing lights!

machine controls may be locked. Power on the unit and hold in the far right button for 4 seconds and then try to select settings and cycles

I would recommend getting the service manual for your model as some models have clutches that control spin and others have belts. The service manual would be the best route if you are planning on repairing this yourself.
