F-54.. Motor Control Overcurrent. The machine motor controller is detecting high voltage at the motor.
This is usually caused by something lodged between the inner and outer tub. The first thing to do is see if the tub moves freely & smoothly by hand. if not, Then you need to open the top of the machine and remove the splatter guard and turn the drum till you see the obstruction then fish it out. If on the other hand it is free and smooth then there are tests that need to performed to determine the source of the code... Hope this helps... Bill

F1 is displayed on washer wtw6600sw-wht

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F1 error in your whirlpool cabrio indicates bad control and should be replaced to resolve the error code. However, you can contact Whirlpool as well prior to replacing the control yourself as I have seen whirlpool paying for the parts themselves just because this is known to be a common issue. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Unplug the unit for 15 minutes then plug it back in. IF that does not work then it is a problem in the main board and the main board will need to be replaced. This is a very uncommon error code. You can go to and order the part that will fit your machine
