Question about Whirlpool WTW6600SW Top Load
F-54.. Motor Control Overcurrent. The machine motor controller is detecting high voltage at the motor.
This is usually caused by something lodged between the inner and outer tub. The first thing to do is see if the tub moves freely & smoothly by hand. if not, Then you need to open the top of the machine and remove the splatter guard and turn the drum till you see the obstruction then fish it out. If on the other hand it is free and smooth then there are tests that need to performed to determine the source of the code... Hope this helps... Bill

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
F1 error in your whirlpool cabrio indicates bad control and should be replaced to resolve the error code. However, you can contact Whirlpool as well prior to replacing the control yourself as I have seen whirlpool paying for the parts themselves just because this is known to be a common issue. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.
