The only thing you can do to fix that is to dismantle the unit, access the laser head directly and clean it with a can of compressed air (especially under the lens) and a q-tip. If this also failed then the dust has been baked on the surface of the lens.
The laser head is dead and will have to be replaced. I don't think you can find one so you will have to replace the entire optical mechanism with a similar one for a laptop.
