Question about Brother MFC 210C All-In-One InkJet Printer

2 Answers

My brother multifunction 210c keeps beeping and will not stop. It has been doing this for a long time and I have even unplugged the machine a few times and tried pushing every button on the machine, but it keeps beeping. The only real easy and immediate ways that I can think of to stop the machine from beeping would be to get a hammer, drop the machine on the floor from a considerable height, and/or fill the bathtub and submerge the 210c. I can think of a few other ways to also stop this horrid beeping so I do not have to listen to this annoying and frustrating beeping all night long. I suppose I could also put the machine in the laundry room, the washer or dryer, and/or the refrigerator where I would not hear the annoying beeping while I sleep, but I would need to solve the a beeping and any additional problems caused by utilizing any of the temporary solutions set forth above when I need to use the 210c tomorrow. I have received some excellent technical solutions to my questions in the past from on-line technical experts and other good people out there, and please would anyone out there provide any viable and civilized ideas on how to quickly and easily stop this entity [machine] from the annoying beeping? Hopefully Dan, xt7matalino@gmail.com

If the display says something then that's likely an issue reffered in the manual, otherwise check for paper jams and remove any cartriges and reinstall them.

I replaced the inkjet cartridges in a Brother 210c All in One and it still shows low ink levels in the color cartridges (Black is fine). Where do I need to troubleshoot?

Just unplug the machine and plug it back in while you hold the stop key for about 10 seconds. Usually clears up and resets ink levels.

Brother 210c multifunction Cannot print pdf files

This is what worked for me:

On the PDF - File, print, advanced, check "print as image" & set to 150dpi, ok, ok.

Originally I checked the box & set @ 350dpi. It worked, but every time I waned to print I had to go in and uncheck, then recheck the box - what a hassel! If I didn't it would just print blnk pages. 150 dpi is fine & it works every time without going through the same process all over again.

Good Luck!

Hi, I have a Brother MFC-210C that keeps telling me its unable to clean, I followed the user manual but it keeps displying the same message, what do I do now? please help

For Brother MFC210C Printer Fax Copy Scan
1) Enter machine maintenance mode (on MFC210C all four photo/copy/fax/scan lights flash in maintenance mode).( "The user can establish the internal Machine Error Code as follows: pull the mains cable out of the machine (power off), hold down the Menu/Set key, re-insert the mains cable into the machine (power on). The internal Machine Error Code will be displayed.") Care is needed in maintenance mode, otherwise critical settings may be inadvertently corrupted.

FAX models with numerical keypads: Press the Menu/Set, *, 2, 8, 6 and 4 keys within two seconds. (if you fail to complete the correct key sequence within two seconds, press the Stop key to try again).

2) Press the 8 then 0 keys in the initial stage of the maintenance mode to call up the machine's log information list (function code 80).

3) Press the Black Start key several times to scroll through the log information list to reach the purge counter. The purge counter is the 25th item in the list.

4) Press the 2, 7, 8, and 3 keys in this order to reset the purge count to zero.

5) Press the Stop/Exit key to return to the initial stage of the maintenance mode.

6) Press the 9 key twice to return to the standby state.

Carry on printing !!

MFC 210C Ink Problems

Steve,

did you watch the display after replacing the cart?
Very often the machine asks if you have changed the cart and demands an answer (1 for yes).

You can try to do an update of the firmware, too. Go to www.brother.com , choose your country and then your machine. Download a small update tool and run it.

If it aint getting better:
Do unplug from power outlet (even though you have done already) wait 10 Min. leave scanner cover open and take all carts out. Plugin to power again and leave scanner open. Wait uintil machine gives a warning signal. Reinsert carts and close cover: now watch the display and give always the answer YES(1).

Brother MFC-210C Firmware Problem

I would try re-running the firmware installation if you haven't. Last time I had a firmware problem like this I left the machine unplugged for a hour or two came back and re-tried it and the machine took the upgrade fine the second time.
