Set at the coldest setting the top two shelves won't freeze water, the bottom two shelves will and the thermometer reads -5. Is this worth getting fixed? Cost?

Your coils are frosted over. Want let the fan push cold air around. I am having that issue right now. Turns out it is the control board is not telling the fridge to auto defrost or what to do and when to do it.

GE bottom freezer stopped cooling

The unit needs two fans running and good airflow, one fan outside cools the condensor coil and the other inside the unit blowing across the evaporator. The compressor must start up. The defrost timer stops everything and switches on a heating element to defrost the evaporator for several minutes. Please verify these conditions.

Why mu refrigerator rrtg21pabb ia working but not freeze

If the refrigerator is not defrosting, the defrost control board might be defective. The defrost control board monitors several conditions and determines how often to run the defrost cycle. If the board fails, the refrigerator will not go into the defrost cycle. Eventually, ice will build up on the evaporator coil and then the refrigerator and or freezer will not stay cold enough. This will depend on where the evaporator is located. It's prudent to check the defrost heater and defrost thermostat for continuity before replacing the defrost control board.

If that is not the problem then the coil might have a hole in it and needs repair and coolent rechrge.

Deep chest freezer 7cu will get cold and freeze items, then it stops freezing and defrosts the food. Not sure what could be causing this problem it is just over a year old. Anybody know if this might be...

It appears that the thermostat is not working properly and is taking much too long to turn back on after it disconnects power to the compressor. There is no relay in that unit but maybe a start capacitor on motor that might be checked out also.

Subzero 550 freezer making loud noise if top wire shelf closed

When you shut your top wire shelf you do a few things. First of all you activate your fan. Your fan sits in back of a large evaporator coil which is prone to defrost issues. I would imagine your fan is hitting ice due to a defrost issue. You may want to check your defrost system out. Ie your defrost timer.
or alternatively your fan could be getting old and needs replacing, it could just be making noise.

Commercial freezer will not get below 25.degrees. Three new motors, new fan blades, new compressor, cleaned, and new defrost thermastat put on. Even caulked any gaps.

Why were all these replacements made ? Sounds like the Technicians have no clue.
When the compressor was changed was the drier changed ? Was the system properly Evacuated and Leak tested ? Please give all the details as this sounds to me more like shoddy workmanship and parts changers.

Frigidaire Upright freezer FFU20FC4AW2

Sounds like the timer could be getting stuck and not releasing the defrost cycle. If you have to do it again, you should have the timer checked, or just replace it.
