I was so frustrated that I had these top of the line appliances and still have to go to the laundry matt. After code f-11 came on for the last time I just unplugged it and said forget it. You have to pay $75 and ship out the board. About a month after the last code err I tried using it again. I plunged it back in and out of the blue it did not code out. Did two loads just fine. So after my last load I unplugged the washer until next use....that was about four months ago and no code f-11. No joke, so unplug it, wait a day or so and try using it. After your done unplug the washer until next use. Plug back in and you should be fine. I'm thinking as its sits until use the board heats up and shorts out. You could spend the money but why...mine has been working just fine for over four months. Dan... whitechoc1623@gmail.com

The symptoms are pretty specific for the F11 code on the Whirlpool Duet front loaders and clones (Kenmore Elite and KitchenAid):

If the washer starts to fill but the drum NEVER moves, your MCU is bad

If the washer runs through most of a cycle and then gives the F11 before (or during) a rinse or spin cycle, then you have the CCU relay problem.

If you are interested in having me repair your CCU for you, I offer that service on eBay (website coming soon). My username there is "jhagner"

Thanks

Flashing F 11, drum spins by hand.unplugged for 30 sec and plugged back in started to fill then stopped .flashed F11 again

The F11 error can be difficult to resolve even for us technician's.

The F11 error occurs when the central control and motor control don't talk to each other.

If one of the controls was actually bad then I'd expect to see the error code every cycle. If it does, start by checking all the wiring connections from the panel to the CCU. Post back your results.

My front loader wirlpool washer is having problems it starts out fine then it flashes a F- symbol. And does not finish spin cycle. Why? And what does that. Mean?

Hi,

The F is showing up saying there is a fault somewhere. Since you don't say what comes after the F code (F11, FdL, Etc) it's hard to say what the problem is. If you remove the lower panel below the door (3 screws at bottom of machine) ther should be a packet taped to the inside of the machine. This is the repair guide for the machine and it says what the different codes mean. Good luck.

The motor does not engage in at all

The F 11 code is a water fill code. Check the water to make sure both lines are on. If their on then turn off take hoses off the water inlet valves in the back and check the screens. If your screens are clean then you probably have a water inlet valve problem. Are you able to open the door to get your clothes out? If not I can tell you how to get it open.

Processor board sound bad. May be a loose plug ( or corroded connection on the plug ) . Unplug the dish washer from the wall plug before servicing. The open the front panel to expose the panel control board. Unplug the panel plugs and inspect them to assure no corrotion is apparent. If you see corrotion, use a pencil erracer to clean all contact points on the board and clean the plug the best possible. Plug the dishwasher plug back in the wall and check the unit for proper operation. If the operation is not correct, replace the circuit board. I hope this helps
