Question about Televison & Video
Turned on tv, there was a snap and then nothing just like it is unplugged.I have checked the cord for continuity, took the back off and checked the continuity from the plug through the fuse and all is well. Is there another fuse or a breaker?

Most likely this is caused by a defective main board. Changing the main board will fix the issue about 95% of the time.
To be absolutely sure, the voltages need to be checked on the power supply. If they are not the values listed in the service manual, then you should replace the power supply instead (accounts for the other 5% of the time).

sorry. Hope you still have a waranty. This is not an uncommon problem with the sony's. 99% chance that the panel went out. Could also be a balance board issue, but usually not. Call Sony for an authorized repair center

Problem may be the power supply, check in it thoroughly and find the falty components.Remove the faulty one and replace new one.
Such as components may be diod, capacitor, power booster. If you are able to do your self other wise take it to the workshop.

Problems relating to the automatic turn on and turn off of a set like this usually point to the main board being an issue. For this set, I believe Sony refers to that board as the "AU" board.
It's probably not the G/Power Supply board, especially if it turns itself on. Power supplies will turn a set off, but rarely--rarely--turn itself on.
If there's no kind of extended warranty involved here,
you could be looking at $500.00 for parts and labor to repair this kind of problem.
As always, try any software/firmware updates Sony might have available on their website prior to pursuing a repair visit.
