Subsonic refers to frequencies too low for the human ear to hear. Generally humans can hear frequencies in the range of 20 to 20000 hertz (cycles per second), but we hear best in the range of 1000 to 4000 hertz. High amplitude subsonic frequencies can cause damage to your speakers so many amplifiers have an electronic filter in them to reduce the amplitude of these very low frequency signals.

You need the subsonic filter on ported boxes. It cuts the hz at the level your box is tuned for or a little lower. It keeps the subs from bottoming out.

Ok this all depends on a few things is your box custom built or pre fab bought? also do not max out your settings on your deck what ever it may be... also there should be a setting on your deck you might find helpful along the lines of LPF or low pass filter, gotta make sure thats on atleast 50hz and not pass or your bass will sound like ****

2 kicker cvr 12's in prewired kicker box with 1 wire terminal, kicker cx1200.1 amp. Whats the best way to wire this combo?

Well you really can't run both speakers on one term. because you will over heat the amp , unless your amp is rated at twice the capability of your subs , Then if so , Try positive to one sub , then neg. to the other sub , then bridge the remaining positive to the remaining negative terminal , But it is really best to get a two channel amp for your subs !!!

I have 2 15 inch L5 solo baric subs and need a amp?

the 15" l5 is rated at 750 watts rms so i suggest you get an amp with atleast that much power because if you get a amp weaker than that you run the risk of clipping your subs and blowing them

I have 1500 kicker amp and 2 15L7 4oh want to hook up

you can't get full power out of it because those subs can be wired series/parrallel to a 1 ohm load or just series to a 4 ohm load and you don't want to put a 1 ohm load on this amp... you need dual 2 ohm subs for this amp... I have the same setup but with dual 2 ohm subs and it is rediculous... you need to buy different subs that are dual 2 ohm or buy an amp that is stable at 1 ohm... you will only get 750 rms out of a kicker 1500.1 at 4 ohms so u will do more harm than good to your subs.

I need to know how to bridge a a 4 ohm 15 inch sub down to1or2ohm

Hello solo7908,

With a single 4ohm DVC sub there are only two possible wiring solutions, parallel the voice coils for a final 2ohm load or series the voice coils for an 8ohm load. In your case, you want to wire them in parallel, both positives and both negatives connected to the amp terminals.

Here are the diagrams: (-) to (-) and then to the amp - (+) to (+) and then to the amp. Impedance = 2ohms.

Hope this helps.

Cut out

rewire the subs-each sub you want in series=8 ohms per sub-then at the amp wire the two 8 ohm subs in parallel which brings the ohms back down to 4 ohms which is optimal for the amp and it shouldnt shut down on you any more-try that-good luck

Kicker 750.1 Amp wont play music

it is probably the rca inputs on the amp may have fried. was your cd decked turned up loudly before the power went out? did any wires accidently touch each other? If had worked fine and then suddenly stopped, than either a wire came loose or the inputs fried. try using different cables and I also suggest disconnecting power for 24 hours and then reconnect. If the green light is on then it is getting power and the problem is in the rca cables or the inputs

Kx800.2 kicker car amp

TWO THINGS : first check that amp has a good ground , I mean connected to the chassis of vehicle .

second , check the connections of the speakers , it could be Unbalance , meaning not matching the value in OHMS of AMP with value in OHMS of speaker,
you will need a multimeter for this task . hope this helps

What amp to use

recommended maximum for the sub boxes is 1600/800 here is the link to the manual if you need it; http://www.kicker.com/06/tech-support/manuals/manuals/2007/2007%20CompVR%20Box%20d01%20Web.pdf If you really wanted to get the maximum from your subs then a zx750, or possibly a zx1000 would be the ideal choice. Either amp you suggested will work, but you will have more fun with a 750 which should do fine. Hope this helps :)
