CD not recognized in Safe Mode

Because of a bad virus, I can only run my computer in safe mode. I am now getting a new computer and want to transfer my old documents. Unfortunately, when I put a writable cd into drive E:\, it says there is no disc in the drive... Help?

My emachines el1360 doesn't recognize cd/dvd

Try going to safe mode. Restart your computer and tap f8. Use the arrow key to highlight safe mode, and once you are inside safe mode. Try running the dvd or insert the sd card. If it runs well, then install RadarSync or any automatic PC updater then update the drivers. You can also manually update them by going to the website of your computer's manufacturer. Look for support and download.

Have a virus need to get it out need a free nopay tape of antivirus can u help none is working???

If you can download this scanner from mbam called Malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ Once you run this on the target computer you can do a full scan and get rid of the virus, it catches most nasties.
If the virus stop any antivirus from running, you may have to boot into safe mode and run it from a USB device or burn it and run it from a disk. To boot into safe mode :
Turn the computer on or Restart the computer
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Boot Options Menu appears.
Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected. And boot into safe mode.
Hope this helps,
Cab

My Eee netbook has a virus how do i remove them?

Boot into safe mode (press F8 repeatedly when starting the computer), select safe mode with networking, download, then install an anti-malware software and run it. If you can't download the software on the infected computer, download it onto another computer, then transfer it to the infected computer using a flash drive, but still use safe mode. You'll want to also scan the flash drive before using it on another computer, just to make sure the virus didn't get transfered to the flash drive.

Here are some free anti-malware software:

Install updated full version of antivirus like avg 8, avira or avast. It surely removes Viruses from your system. Scan your computer with it. After Scanning, reboot your computer. I have several virus's detected including worms and trogen 22 files infected. i have Norton 360 version 2.0

Your Norton's anti-virus database if probably out dated. You need to update it and then start your computer in Safe Mode and run the anti-virus scan.
To get into Safe Mode:
Shutdown your computer. Then restart and hit F8 as soon as the video shows. then when you get the menu, select Safe Mode from the menu.
If you cannot get Norton's to update, download the free version of AVG Anti-virus and run it in Safe Mode.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
