SOURCE: thread keeps breaking

Your machine isn't threaded properly. Check to make sure #1, you have it threaded right and #2 the thread on all 4 spools is in between the tension dials. Good Luck and Hope this helps.

SOURCE: bernina 2500DCET serger keeps breaking the centre

I have found with any serger I have used that you have to cut the looper (bottom) threads before re threading the needle threads. You then rethread the loopers.
If you don't do this, the needle threads keep breaking. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Thread Breaking On Brother Sewing Machine

if thread is good quality you may have a sharp groove in your needle plate hole from needle breakage. if so, polish with emery tape.

How do u thread a brother serger 834dp

Perhaps the following will help. Most machines within a brand will thread the same way:

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&ved=0ahUKEwiTrYHH79LUAhVE4mMKHYKUBFUQFggsMAE&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.brother-usa.com%2FModelDocuments%2FConsumer%2FUsers%2520Manual%2FUM_PL_2100_EN_238.PDF&usg=AFQjCNF99J5PVNoFcHjv5FJcR-6eyNqTNg&cad=rja

HINT: Be sure to ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading. Give each thread an extra little tug when going from the thread tree to the tension disk. AND BE SURE TO THREAD EACH IN THE ORDER SPECIFIED! Threading out of order will almost certainly guarantee failure!

The top tread breaks after about 1inch when trying to do chain stich on my janome cover stich machine

Could be the result of several things. There could be some gunk or threads stuck in the tension disk. Be sure to remove the thread and rethread from the beginning in the order specified. ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot when threading!!!! If you haven't tried a brand new needle, do so, and make sure it is pushed all the way up and installed with the flat side facing the correct direction. Some machines recommend #90 as the largest needle to use. Also, perhaps the needle eye is too small to accommodate the thread. Watch where the thread is breaking to give you an idea of where the problem may originate. Try a different brand of thread. Sometimes black thread causes issues because the heavy dye affects the thread. Set the tensions at the midway point and then loosen the tension on that one needle. There could also be a burr or rough spot somewhere along the threadpath that is catching the thread. Last idea--could be a timing issue.

Kenmore serger thread keeps breaking

Serger thread breaks
1. Is the serger threaded correctly?
2. Is the needles inserted correctly?
3. Is one of the needles bent or damaged?
4. Is the tension adjusted too tightly?
5. Is the tension adjusted to accommodate thickness of thread being used?
6. Are you using inferior quality thread?
7. Is the thread feeding of the cone/spool freely?
8. Is the needle size correct for the type of fabric being used?
9. Are the needles being used the correct one for the serger?

I tried the Brother website and couldn't find a manual for that model listed. I did find one for a machine, I believe is similar.

Left needle thread keeps breaking on my White Superlock 2000 ATS serger

the tension must be too tight or check to make sure the spool does not have a crack that is catching the thread in the middle of using the serger. When the serger is working and the spool has a crack it catching the thread then you press to go on and it gives a break the needle because the spool is still holding onto the thread
