Won't go past window xp logo

My acer asprie 3000 won't boot up all the way, gets to the windows xp logo and just keeps running. Then when you turn it off it goes into the mode where it asks you to start in the last know successful mode or safe mode but then when you hit that it just brings up a bunch of writting about drivers etc.

You will need to launch Windows XP Recovery Console..here are your to options you have to perform this to correct your boot issue..

Option 1: If you have already installed the Recovery Console loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); If you have already installed the Recovery Console, you can select it during your usual Windows Startup. To run the Recovery Console:

I keep the message General Protection fault with a black screen when I turn my acer aspire 3000 on and it won't go past that screen/What can I do to fix it?

To repair corrupted system file/s, boot up with the Windows installation CD then -
Press R to repair when instructed.
Press 1 or Enter to repair the C:\Windows folder.
Then type chkdsk /r and then press Enter.
The repair process will take quite a long time.

How to skip logo and long boot sequence

That is booting directly into XP. The Windows XP logo that you stare at for a few minutes is actually hiding a whole lot of back end system checks. Without the logo you would be looking at a blank screen. There is a difference in load time, but it's about 2 seconds.

Can't boot up Acer 1641 WLMi. Sometimes I get the Acer logo on screen, other times screen is completely dark. When the Acer logo does come on, I see F2 option listed on bottom of screen but it doesn't...

Hold the f2 key down and keep it down... It will bring you to the bios which will allow you to boot in safe-mode or by using rescue cd or partition in your hard drive. Your hard drive may have problems or has crashed.

I got it from a friend and when i power it up it will boot to thw windows xp logo but i get the blue scren of death and it restarts. i go into the bois to run a winpe disk and it finds no problems

The BSOD error would have helped in the diagnostic. In all probabilities a driver is corrupted. Boot in Safe Mode and uninstall all of them. Reboot normally , if the BSOD appears again then the problem is in one of the default ones and this time only a Repair install will fix it.

My Acer Aspire 1 gets stuck when the Windows XP logo apears and just keeps booting, what can I do?

Hard Drive error on the Disk most likely... Try to go to Windows "Safe Mode"... pressing F5 before you see the XP Logo and after you see the system information screens. Once in safe mode... run ScanDisk.
Open My Computer | Right Click C Drive | Left Click Properties | Tools Tab Run Check Disk for Errors... also check mark both boxes.
Reboot

Won't boot past Windows XP main screen. Windows XP may have a corrupt file. How do I correct without full recovery?

Try starting in Safe Mode and check if you can start it? In case it starts in Safe Mode, you may do the system restore to the date it was working fine.

Install Xp on Acer Asprie 5735z

I'd reccomend backing up data and formatting your hard drive. Then install XP from disk and put data back on hard drive. You could use external hard drive or jumpdrive. It stands to reason that SATA works with XP, because the new computers I have seen have SATA and XP working conflict-free.

NEW ACER ONE NETBOOK WILL NOT BOOT UP

Try Safe Mode.Disconnect every device (Mouse also)
Hit F8 at very beginning until you get a list of options select Safe mode and check if Windows starts.
then try step by step confirmation option.
say yes to every request until freeze: last driver you accepted to load is the culprit.
Remove it in Safe mode using Start/Run/Msconfig
