Question about Hayward 1.5 Hp Northstar High Performance Pump
You either have a bad start capacitor, bad bearings, or bad wiring. make sure all the wiring is tight, make sure the motor spins freely, and check the capacitor for leakage or "bloating".
In rare occasions, the motor windings can develop a direct short and cause the breaker to immediately trip.
