Ok, This model has a double element. It is very possible that one of them are bad. If you have a voltage/Ohms meter, I can assist you in testing the wlwmwnts.
    Please let me know.

ok. You might need to call a repairman. The top and front panels need to be removed and then the drum. This is how you get to the element to test it.
I can get you through this but the meter is needed.

It most likely is also clogged inside the dryer. You will have to pop the top up and remove the front panel. you will see the lint clog underneath the lint trap.

Why do clothes take a long time to dry even if dryer is heating?

One basic reason is your washer could NOT be spinning most of the water out, therefore your clothes are wetter than they should be, thus taking longer to dry:-)

My creda mode tcr2 isnt drying my clothes anymore

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

The dryer is heating up but takes forever to dry clothes

first things first, check the vent. if the unit isnt vented properly or vent hose isn't clear, it will take forever to dry. if the vent is clear, check the vent thermostat.

I have a GE dryer that won't dry our clothes. It heats up, but water is all over the inside door and the lint that comes out of the hose in the back is wet! The outside of the dryer (the top in...

It really sounds like your washing machine is not spinning the clothes out enough. Have they been wetter than usual lately? The dryer could just be struggling to keep up with the heavier / wetter load as there is no reason for it to create moisture on it's own.

Whirlpool dryer is not drying properly. Have to go through a couple of cycles to dry clothes.

2 things are needed to dry clothes. 1 is good air flow. Check to make sure that the dryer vent is not clogged or partially clogged with lint. Also make sure there are no kinks in the vent hose. With the dryer running you should feel good air flow blowing out of the outside house vent. The 2nd thing a dryer needs heat. Check to see that the dryer feels warm to hot when you reach in to tough the clothes. It is possible that the heat element has partially failed. Another thing to investigate is how well the laundry machine is spinning out the water in the spin cycle. This spin cycle is used to get as much water out as possible prior to placing the clothes in the dryer. The wetter the clothes when they come out of the laundry, the longer it takes to dry them.

Tumbler has heat but clothes not drying

You may have lint issue with the vent hose. If your vent hose has alot of lint in it the dryer will not properly dry clothes. Clear it out really good, take it outside and shake it all out so that its as clean as you can get it and then give it a shot. If it still isnt drying at that point you may have to replace the thermal fuse which regulates the temperature inside the dryer.

Will not dry clothes, blows cold air.

need brand.most dryers have thermal fuse that protect the element from going bad.I would first check your breaker and make sure it isnt tripped.a dryer will run but not heat if breaker is tripped.

Clothes smell burndt after drying in a Kenmore gas dryer

Rule number one NEVER EVER use the top of your dryer to stack piles of clothes while in use. That is the main reason why dryers over-heat. Also clean out the exhaust tube to the exterior.

The dryer heats up & spins, clothes don't dry, lint areas are now clean

restriction in your vent check it from the back of the dryer it must be 4 inches in dia and clear get a flashlight and look behind the dryer see if its mashed coiled or folded check the dryer hood make sure if there is a bird screen on it its clear easy way to tell if vent is at fault disconnect from dryer and do a load then let me know

Dryer spins fine but no heat

First and most importantly you have to be sure the venting is completly clear of debris and lint. Then remove and inspect the heating element and all thermostats with a multi-meter. Unless your familiar with this type of procedure you might consider calling a technician. Your wasting too much energy and money drying clothes for 2 hours. Technician much cheaper in long run. Good Luck tatau.
