ONN CD Clock Radio (model ONA12AV027) - blank blue screen and nothing works

I unplugged my ONN CD Clock Radio (model ONA12AV027) when I went out of town for 2 weeks (because I always unplug electronics to avoid power surge problems) but when I plugged it back in, all I get is a blank blue screen and nothing works. Is it irreparable (less than 6 months, therefore piece of junk) or is there a simple fix?

SOURCE: Magnavox CD Player Clock Radio not working

This Clock/Radio/CD player has had component failure problems. The unit is probably not worth repairing. The reason is the parts and repair information is probably very limited. The cost of the repair with parts and labor will be expensive. This repair would probably cost you more than just buying a new Clock/Radio/CD player. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!

SOURCE: I have a very old Bose clock radio (model AWR1-1W)

Hey Pete! Did you take out the 9V battery as well and let power down to re-set? Benimur from JustAnswer suggested: Your described problem could either be a system glitch, hardware fault.
If it were a glitch, unplug the unit for an extended period of time to force the Bose to reset and revert to factory defaults. This would also require removal of the 9 volts battery. Should this be not corrective, then it would seem that the logic circuitry of the Bose radio is faulty. The logic circuitry includes the micro processor that handles all the controls and the displays. Unfortunately, not a user doable repair.

Emerson Research Clock w/Projection Display Not Working

You will need to reset the microprocessor in the Clock/Radio. To do this you must unplug the Clock/Radio and remove the internal battery. Let the Clock/Radio set for at least 1 hour and then put the battery back in and plug in the Clock/Radio. The functions should return to normal. If not, replace the battery (CR2430) and leave the Clock/Radio unplug for a period of hours. Then put in the new battery and and plug in the Clock/Radio to see if the functions have returned to normal. If not you may have a more serious problem with the microprocessor. You can call the Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-898-9020 between the hours of 7am-5pm CT. Give them the make and model number of the Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance. I hope this information help you with your problem.
