Well i have a few problems with my 98 ford windstar gl the powerlocks dont work, my driver side window wont go done i think thats off track though my door light is always on i have a dinging sounds that goes away after i hit two and i have a piece that cracked and i dont know what its called its a piece of the frame i think it is connected to the 2 rear tires and i dont know what its called so i cant go get the piece i need to fix it PLEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEE HELP ME
When my "door ajar" light was on it was because the liftgate sensors (switches) indicated that the gate was open, even thought it wasn't. I took off the plastic trim, and took out the sensors - but that isn't necessary. Just soak with the switches with silicone spray, and see if that helps. There is one on each side of the liftgate - I believe both must indicate "closed" for the light to go off.
I have gotten replacement motors at Checkers for both driver and passenger doors - so now I have lifetime replacement motors.. The first time you replace them, a little drilling is needed on the door sheet metal, but it will not show up once the trim is reinstalled. This repair is a little involved, but well within the capability of a novice mechanic.
The door light is on and the diniging is due to your driver door ajar switch being broken or not being depressed all the way.
Adjust the door to close tighter. Is the door ajar light on too?
If not, it may be the GEM module. Expensive. get from salvage yard. car-part.com. go to page with asterisk for cheapest price.

Lamps, Courtesy
The generic electronic module integrates control of all interior lights, electrical warning lamp controls and courtesy lamps by controlling interior lamp relay (13A777) . Power supply to interior lamp relay is controlled by "battery saver" function.
The battery saver relay supplies power to the interior lamp control relay. The generic electronic module controls the interior lamp control relay which supplies power to the courtesy lamps.
The generic electronic module activates the interior lamp relay when a signal is received from the driver, passenger, liftgate or sliding door ajar switches.
After activation, the generic electronic module deactivates the relay when any of the three following conditions occurs:
The ignition switch is changed to RUN or the vehicle speed is greater than 24 k/mh (15 mph).
If any door remains open and the ignition switch remains OFF for 20 minutes, the battery saver relay will turn off and remove power from the interior lamp control relay.
