Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Headset is unbalanced

I have currently got the Saitek GH20 Vibration headset, i've not used it vey much at all as i recently managed to fix my speakers xD But i went to use it just now, and only the left ear plays music, if i turn the vibration on, there is some(but very little) sound coming from the right ear. I've been through the Sound/Volume controls in the Control Panel, and everything is balanced nicely, i've also installed the Realtek HD Audio Manager, everything was balanced on that too! If anyone has any ideas or even a solution i would be VERY greatful!

I know it says Saitek GH50 Headset, but this site doesn't have the GH20 available....

SOURCE: My Saitek GH20 Headset Mic Buzzing

Hello.

I had the same problem for like ten minutes ago. I have a Swedish Vista computer and don't know all the translations but I'll give it a go.
This will reduce the buzzing not remove it.

Go to the control panel and click "sound". From there go to "recording" And double click on the microphone. You should get a new screen up. Click to the second button "Levels". Now drag the "microphonestrenghning" (the bottom one) and drag it down to 0 DB.
(optional) Drag the "Microphone" up to 100.

Hope this help you. It worked for me at least. :D

SOURCE: Computer wont recognize me Saitek GH20 Headset

I have the same problem. I suspect that this headset is not USB compatible at all. It possibly only uses the USB connection as a source of power (for the vibration effect). This is a problem for me because I wanted to use the headset on a PS3. Saitek don't claim that it works with the PS3, but the claim of USB compatibility is ambiguous and misleading in my opinion.

How do you turn off the vibration function on the LG HBS 700

It's possible you had a short inside the headset. Sometimes moisture or sweat will enter the earpiece and cause a temporary short. You could open up the headset and remove the vibration motor but that would be permanent removal of vibration.

you could try the following:
1. Enable it For Windows 7: Start> control panel> sound & hardware> sound> manage audio devices For XP/vista: Start> control panel> sound & audio devices> voice>
2. Disconnect the cables from the computer: restart the computer, then plug it back in 3. Check if you have the latest drivers(if applicable) on the Saitek website

My headede is buzzing with Saitek Pro headse, but I have another cheaper headset same connections as Saitek with no buzzing. Can anyone help? Best regards Benny Rosenfeld

Hi,

It could be something in the wiring.

Thy the headset with am mp3 player or another computer to see if the buzzing persists.
If it does then the headsets are faulty and you'll need to get a replacement for them from your retailer or Saitek themselves.

Hope it helps...

Saitek pro flight headset is plugged into headphone port but windows tells me it's not. my microphone works fine but no sound from the headset

Try them with an MP3 player, iPod or something else to see if they work.

If they do work with something else then it must be something in the settings on your computer's sound card.

If they don't then they must be faulty and you need to get a replacement for them from the retailer you bought them from or from Saitek.

Hope it helps.

You cannot talk to the tower in FSX, only via third part software and then the button you wish to use would be configured within that software (such as Live ATC),
