No picture when on for approx 15 minutes

My Two year old Vizio 37 inch LCD tv looses it picture after being on for approx 15 minutes. I still have sound but the screen turns to just "jiberish" I dont think thats a word. All the cables are good.

It sounds like you are saying the "video looks scrambled but the audio keeps playing OK"

Normally this is a Video Processor Problem that requires a Board to be replaced.

When the problem happens, can you see the TV menu or the TV's On Screen Display clearly.

I suggest checking to see if the problem happens with the video inputs like, Composite(yellow/red/black), component(RGB/yellow and black), HDMI and S-video. If it happens to all inputs then you need to replace a board.

I have a 2007 vizio 42 inch lcd tv and a couple of minutes after turning on the picture starts to flutter like a strobe light. audio is good and so is picture. it just flutters what can i do
it was an inverter board and screen back light issue. you must check loose connector like dry joint .

go to control panel then power option then change setting to TURN OF DISPLAY "NEVER"

My TV takes about 5-10 minutes to come on - then it is on for about 15-20 minutes and the picture and sound go off and on till finally I have nothing. The TV is only 4 years old - what's up with it?
4 years old, you are very lucky that the LCD TV last that long!
You may have failing power supply module due to bad DC filter caps.

37 INCH LCD MAGNAVOX TV WILL NOT TURN ON. MUST BE
This problems,very common in LCD tv,after the tv was in used about a year or two.The new technalogy LCD tv don't handle heat very well,not like the old CRT Tube Tvs.The power supply board tend to have bad capacitors componnents leakage,that bulges up it top or puff up gases escape,that why it take times or couples pushes to the power botton to turn the tv on.U know basic electronic's,and have soldering tools and solders?Take the tv aparts,check for these bad capacitors,that bulges,puff up in the power supply board and replaced them,than ur power will work normal again.Or tries Websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
