SOURCE: how do i replace a moen faucet cartridge

if it is a 2 handle faucet, (thinking that because of the cartridge number) then you take the handle off. There will either be a nut that you can use a crescent wrench on or it could be the type that has a recessed nut....if that is the case there is an inexpensive tool you will need to reach down inside to undo the nut that is holding the cartridge in. Once the nut is off...you grab the top of the cartridge with a pair of channel locks and pull it out....reverse the steps for install.

SOURCE: cannot remove moen sink cartridge

MOEN cartridges can be EXTREMELY difficult to remove sometimes. Be sure the horse shoe clip is out. Then you can use a crescent wrench and carefully turn the cartridge, once you get the cartridge to turn a little you can try to pull it again. They actualy make a tool to pull these. They run around $10 at your local home improvement store. The tool takes the place of the crescent and puting the handle back on to pull it. Hope this helps.

How do i fix my leaky moen bathroom faucet?

Moen faucets are easy to repair. The cartridge you're looking for is most likely the #1224 cartridge, sold in pairs, and available at almost any home improvement store.

Shut the water off, unscrew the handle, remove the nut that holds the old, cartridge in, swap it out, and put the handle back. The whole job should take you about ten minutes.

Good Luck!

I need replacement part for bath sink cartridge 4570

The Moen 1225 or 1200 cartridges are the same except the 1200 is brass in stead of plastic. They will fit most Moen single handle faucets. If it is a two-handle faucet, the 1224 cartridge will fit most two-handle models unless it is a fancy widespread faucet more than about 15 years old. I don't know the model numbers for those cartridges. All of these cartridges require a removal tool if you can't get them out with a pair of pliers.

Replacing Moen O kitchen faucet O ring

if it is dripping from the spout then there is a cartridge that needs replaced...1225 for the single handle type and 1224 for the 2 handle type. Moen does not use O-rings in their valves. If it leaking around the base of the spout there is an oring kit that you will need and you will have to pull the spout off to access them. Most Moen faucets use a 117 kit for the spout but there are some different ones.
