Re: Can't fax to germany
This is most likely due to line noise. try swiching cords, plugs, etc. All else fails, try a retail store, and see if they have the same problem. It may not be your equipment, but rather the equipment in Germany.

Sounds like the glass for the scanner portion might have some gunk on it. Because the page moves across the scanner, a dot on the glass translates to a line on copies. There is usually a button or a handle to pull to get access to the entrance of the scanner portion of the machine. With a flashlight, inspect the glass at the scanner portion input carefully and use a paper towel and watered down windex to glean off any spots.
for this one you need to make sure there's no paper that was cut while you are removing the paper that was jam, try to clean the rollers with a clean paper the one that feeds the paper . when your done .Lift the printer upside down and remove the cartridges try to shake it for 5x .. I believe the upper portion portion of the printer is removable make sure there are no foreign objects such as ballpens , sharpeners etc... Hope it help
I found a copy of the manual, and on page 202 the "Dark Paper Used" message can be caused by three things:
1. Paper used is colored or stained -- replace with clean white paper.
2. Paper was pulled from machine before the fax was ejected completely.
3. The received document support is not installed correctly. Page 3 in the manual shows this support as the rear-most, and it looks like it should be installed with the upright portion angling toward the rear at about a 30 degree angle.
It sounds like you have a few problems. First, the comm error usually means there was a problem communicating with the other fax. This maybe caused by a phone line issue, or a bad connection. You will have to replace you ink but that does not have anything to do with your sending issues. As far as the pages getting stuck, the separation pad under the top cover should be cleaned. If you lift up the cover where you load your pages to be sent, and look in there(on the backside of the keyboard)you will see a flat square rubber piece. Clean it thoroughly with a rag and some rubbing alcohol. Also clean the rubber rollers as well. Good luck
