The motherboard is bad, you can try taking out the battery and only hooking up the Ac Adaptor to see if the problem goes away but if it doesn't then the motherboard they replaced it with is faulty.

Actually since water was spilled on it beforehand. Take out the hard drive and dvd drive and try powering it up again just to rule out the hard drive or dvd drive shorting out the computer.

Your motherboard is bad. Plain water can do just as much damage as soda, alcohol or any other liquid. Do the things I suggested and you'll have your answer for sure.

If you bought a motherboard, it should have had a new processor on it. The op system is Windows. If you have an install cd you can reinstall windows. This isn't a hardware problem. When there is a spill, if it is just plain water, it can be allowed to dry and usually be ok. If it is a liquid with sugar, that usually shorts everything out.

Spilled water on acer aspire 15 inch laptop

Bill:

Drying the keyboard with a hair dryer was not a good idea... Under the keys are layers of mylar with the circuits for the keys printed on them. If the mylar got hot it wrinkled and the keyboard may have been ruined. Try the keyboard after the batteries have dried, and if it does squirrely things, you'll probably have to replace the keyboard.

The first thing when spilling drink on your electronics is to remove ALL power.

Then wash the circuits with DISTILLED, de-ioniozed water till all traces of the spillage is gone. Next driop dry with one corner down and finally let dry a few days.

The only damage the spillage usually can do is electrolysis from the power source. Circuit boards are washed with water during manufacturing. Use DE_IONIZED !!!

look if u have a water spilled over ur lap drive, dont start it, it might get short circuted..
now as u r sayin dat u opened ur drive & all, seems u r kinda knowledged abt it..
So if u can, open every part like hard drive, mem slots & all..
then get a dryer, blow it over ur mother board.. make sure u dont leave the processor part..
Now take ur battery out, clean the slots, clean the battery terminals, its socket..
leave ur lap opened in the same way for a while say half n hour of for 1 hour..
Now reattach every part u took out, and connect everything properly except ur battery..
once u fixed all ur components, fix ur battery & then try to start it..
I hope this works out..

If u liked my post, please rate me up, i really need some good ratings.. Thanks !!!

Toshiba satellite a30

If you spilled water all over your laptop and its loading but not displaying you have damaged at least the inverter board and probably more. If it is booting up and you think it is ok except no display, you can verify this by attaching an external monitor and see how if at all the laptop is performing
