Try running it without any ram in, as bad ram could cause that. Also you may have shorted your motherboard. It sounds stupid, but did you remember to put your standoffs on?

Computer is not booting to windows

Reseat the ram. If that doesn't work, try reseating whatever you can --without shorting out the chips. Follow proper procedure for not frying your setup with static electricity while you do this.

Asus crosshair socket am2 motherboard not booting

Sounds like your monitor is bad. Try another monitor because if the video card was bad and the monitor is working you would get a No Signal message on the screen. Borrow a monitor from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker and connect it to the computer. If the Borrowed monitor displays ok, then your original monitor is bad. If the Borrowed monitor does the same as your original monitor and does not display anything, then there is an issue with your video card.

My computer works normaly with an single core athlon 3200+ but when I use an Athlon 4400+ or 4000+ dual core, it just wont boot. The fans are running and lights are on but there is no signal on the monitor...

take a look at the motherboard manufacturers website and see if your motherboard will accept a 4400. You may need to update the bios on your board to accept the faster processor. You need to be careful if you flash the bios. do it wrong and you can write the board off.

Good luck

When pluged into outlet fans spins and doesnt stop, wont boot

Fan spinning hard is usually a CPU issue.
If you've made any hardware changes to your computer, undo them. This happened to me when I was trying to upgrade my Processor (CPU) and I had the wrong kind.

Screen not responding

can you hear any boot sounds?
(fan noise, harddisk rattling)
do the LEDs work (battery and charger , Hdd, CD/DVD-ROM-drive,WLAN)?
this would indicate it still boots up, but screen might be broke.

u lucky?
- remove battery pack! retry booting

if not, hook it up to another external monitor
(use vga-jack in the back of it)
reboot, wait for signal

- check if the the fan is jammed
(due to sand???)
this might cause overheat problem -
use compressed air to blow/clean the fan inlet

still no luck? it simply may be broke...

Gateway FPD1760TFT LCD monitor

Problem
1. turn on computer
2. monitor receives signal, it looks like its working
3. it goes through some steps and then the monitor says "no signal" and kind of stays in limbo with fans running, etc.

Solution
One possibility is that computer is looking for drivers for you video card. It could be hung up looking in the wrong places. Remove all peripheral hard drives and memory sticks. Try again.

no signal indicates a couple things... i suspect your computer isn't even booting up. reboot the computer while tapping the F8 key.... you should see writing on the screen... boot to safe mode. after it sucessfully boots up... reboot again... should be fine.
