Did you adjust the two controls on the new flyback? The top one is almost always the focus control and the bottom is the G2/screen control (brightness) If you adjust the G2 do it until the picture looks normal, too high and you will get retrace lines through the picture.

SOURCE: RCA pix tearing horizontal lines

Get an ESR meter and check all the electrolytic capacitors in the set! I am sure you will find many decoupler and coupling capacitors that are on the edge or too high in ESR.

Absolutely right about the transistor and also check any adjacent resistors to the transformer and to the line output transistor. Good luck.

SOURCE: horizontal width jitter after turn on, or picture

hi there, seems you're encountering horizontal width suddenly adjusted by itself. i recommend you unscrew the back casing, clean the crt board a bit and look for the capacitor on the secondary output of the transformer voltage chopper. it has this diode series with the output and filtered with electrolytic capacitor. if you notice bulgy appearance replace it with same type and farrad rate. most of the times it is unnoticeable by just physical checking. Some are leaky and can be determined using capacitance tester. The supply of the Vertical IC is not stable cause by this capacitor. replacing most of the capacitor wouldn't cost you much. hope this helps, please rate and vote

My tv. proscan mod. ps50700 won`t turn on

The PS50700 uses the 195 series chassis. The most common cause of the set not starting up is a shorted flyback (high voltage) transformer. Sometimes a shorted flyback will also cause the horizontal output transistor to short too. These parts need to be tested and/or replaced by a tech familiar with the RCA 195 chassis.

Vertical jitters on picture - JVC AV48P776

What you are experiancing is loss of High voltage. The line is called a retrace line. It is usally caused by failure of the flyback circuit or aging of the TV tube. This is the single most common failure with CRT based display systems. The high voltage can be tweaked up, to accomidate for the age of the tube. Its a short term solution. Because of the high voltage nature of this circuit, suggest a professional repair.

SCHEMATICS

Dear,FixYa I thank you for your concurn, however I've fixed that problem upto two mounth ago,the problem was the flyback,if you was to ask me how did I get to that conclusion, when I was caldin to to that TV,by pushing the switch the green light click's in and then out again, so I went right to the HOT only to find it shorts out,so I replace it,and at the push of the switch it went again so,I know the flyback is the problem so I replac it and that was it,however am new to my computer, however I mention about schematics because I know that no one can do troubleshooting properly with out it,how ever I have on my bench a QSC RMX 2450,pushing out voltage on right channel, any information on that that I can use hopeniy might help me thank You.

Jitter and tearing on bright pictures

1. VERT JITTER/HORZ UNSTABLE-CHECK 'GE' CONNECTOR PIN 5 FOR 1VPP Y SIGNAL INTO PIP PCB THEN CHECK 'GE' CONNECTOR PIN 11 FOR 1VPP Y SIGNAL FROM PIP PCB. IF SIGNAL AT PIN 5 IS GOOD AND PIN 11 IS CLIPPED OR REDUCED. CHECK ALL ELECTROLYTICS (I.E.C7001, C7014, C7026, C7036) AND ALL CONNECTING TRACES TO THESE CAPS FOR CONTINUITY 2. HORIZONTAL TEARING, VERTICAL JITTER. SIGNAL RELATED CONDITION. APPLY FOLLOWING CIRCUIT CHANGES ON PCB-SIGNAL: A. REPLACE R2K8 WITH A 1K RESISTOR (BASE OF Q2B2). B. REPLACE R2K3 WITH A 47 OHM RESISTOR (IC201 PIN 50). C. ADD A 100PF CAPACITOR FROM BASE OF Q2B2 TO JUNCTION OF R2L0 AND R2K6 (GROUND).
