Different or additional harness needed to install a Kenwood kdc 255u radio/cd player in a 2005 Scion XB?

Hi there,

YES.... to prevent cutting of any factory wiring (this use to be the old install method and requires much more time and expense) and potential electrical fires, you can now buy quite cheaply, what is called a Radio adapter harness.

As you wish to install a Kenwood radio to your Toyota Scion, simply buy an adapter loom which has a 2005 Toyota Plug on one end, with a Kenwood plug on the other (this essentially replaces the wiring loom that came with your Kenwood unit).

So, it's that easy .... Plug and Play.

And... if you sell your Toyota and wish to put your old Toyota radio back in, the original radio just plugs back in. PRESTO !

Hope this helps..

Cheers,

Scott

We have an Aiwa clock radio (NSX 3500). We are having trouble setting the wake-up time. How do we find "military time" or maybe better eliminate the problem. We set the alarm and it doesn't...

On a 24-hour clock, 8 AM is 0800. 2000 is 8 PM.

Obviously, you have managed to set the clock with an offset of 12 hours or have the wrong time zone. Some systems may use Universal Time (UTC) with the 24 hour clock. To find a local time in the military time, you add 12 to the hour for any time after noon. Thus 2 PM = 1400 and 4 PM = 1600. To convert from UTC, try this converter: https://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_UTC.aspx .

I hope you can reset your clock with this information.

Slowdown more than an hour

Maybe the clock is trying to set itself back to its home time;)

Depending on which parts of china you're in, there may be radio wavelengths that is interfering with clock you have, therefore, slowing down the transmitter. of the time.

Clock gains 5 minutes or more time over 30-45 days

Could be low-grade electronic components used, less than 1% tolerance values, or the crystal time-base, a precise clock-pulse generator, needs calibration.
Recommend to get it checked by electronics wizard.

Clock

Turn the receiver on, then press the little button in the remote that says "Shift" with blue letters , then press button with number 2 in it. If you notice it also says "clock" in blue letters. Hold Shift and clock with the receiver on then use the multijog dial, the big round thing in the middle, and set the time.
