Look for the accumulator. It is a large, round, cylinder type device with freon lines going to it. Usually aluminum. It should also have a switch screwed into it with 2 wires. Start the engine, put the a/c on High and Max. Disconnect the switch by unplugging the wires. Take a small piece of wire and use it to make a connection on the unplugged wires. If the compressor starts to work, you either have a low freon level or the switch is bad.

check this out and let me know.

Find the high pressure, two pin switch, probably on the side of the drier. Pull the plug, and ground out the pigtail while the AC is turned on, engine running. The compressor clutch should start. Does it?

Sometimes it's not electrical it might be low on charge causing the low pressure switch to open and not allow the compressor to get power and engage the clutch

1986 chevy S10 has no power (12v) at fuse box on the fuse for ac clutch. checked both sides of fuse to ground 00v. ac/heater fuse 12v both sides (fan) works fine

hello, check all fuses, and relays, make sure wires to ac is not broke or has been pinched, sometimes you can run hot wire from battery, to compressor, touch hot side of plug in on comp wire see if it will kick on, if so sounds like a short, if compressor dont kick on with hot wire run to it, tap the out side of comp clutch and see if it kicks on, these compressors will not kick on any way if they are low on freon, once freon is full it should work.

Ac compressor will not ingage it has refrigerant in it and low pressure switch is working any ideas

check the ac fuse for continuity and then check the relay that supplies power to the compressor, and then unplug the "magnetic clutch coil" that in front of the compressor and check that coil for continuity.they draw a lot of current and can burn open after time ,and also clean any connections as well, especially ground connections

I have a 1986 Ford F-350, 6.9 liter pickup. The injection pump doesn't push fuel to the injectors.... I have tried another pump but that still doesn't work. Any suggestions on the problem?

Yep!.. the problem is electrical wiring (that's only if you've VERIFIED the replacement pump is GOOD!). If you don't have POWER and GROUND at the fuel pump connector, doesn't matter if the pump is good or not... if the pump isn't receiving power (and there's a questionable ground), the pump will not operate correctly.

1986 bronco back window will not go down

the electric motor is grounded and powered by the two wires. the down command applies power to one wire and also applies ground to the other wire at the same time. an up command just reverses the power and ground in the wires. unplug the motor and applie power and ground from another battery or jump pack to see if the motor works.
good luck chris

When replaced the fuel send unit the fuel gage sits on empty

Try grounding the gauge wire at the tank. If the gauge and wiring are good the gauge will go way past full when you do this.
