Take out the memory and blow the contacts with canned air. Also blow out the slots as well so this way we can be sure that specs of dust or dirt isn't the problem.

Also where the air vents are, blow those out to as well to make sure air is flowing properly.

Try running a good registry cleaner like Glary Utilities or Advanced Widowsystems. That should help. Also try checking for driver updates on Dell site.

Beeps 5 times when booting up on battery

If you go to this site: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/w/desktop/3624.beep-codes-and-psa-diagnostic-chart you will find the beep code chart about 1/3 of the way down. You mention 5 beeps, but is it 1-1-3 ... in other words do you get a beep then another beep and then a burst of 3, or do you get a different combination of beeps? This has an impact as these are troubleshooting beeps to help identify what is going wrong.

Search Fixya...Dell D620 windows7 grey screen

Hey Gary,

It does sound like a video card driver issue. Unfortunately, Dell does not have any Windows 7 drivers for the Latitude D620. You would need to look on the video card mfg. website for any Windows 7 drivers.
Thank You,

How to restore my D620 to factory settings without a CD?

Hello there!

Well its impossible to restore any of todays laptops without their factory os dvd/cd. You could setup new operative system and make your laptop simmilar to what it was on factory settings, or you can search dell to send you that same cd/dvd on your post mail to your house.

I suggest you read http://www.dell.com/ and contact them in order to solve your problem. Hope i helped you! =)

Sincerely

Converting from analog sound to digital to support Digital BA735 Speakers

Monday, January 5, 2009

The only steps the tech made, I was looking over his shoulder, was to go to "Control Panel", "Sounds and Audio Deives", "Volume" tab, under device volume "Advance", "Play Control" "Advanced" and then put a check mark in the box for "1 digital output only". That solved our problem. Hope it will work for you.

Is any cheap battery for laptop d620

Hi - i've ran a D620 now running a D630 and yes the battery life is extremely poor even when the battery is new.
The option above will give you extra - you can also buy a moduler battery that will fit into the CDROM port which will give you even more!
http://www.google.co.uk/products?hl=en&q=d620%20modular%20battery&cr=countryUK%7CcountryGB&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wf

or ebay is your best bet...
