Question about Roper RT18DKXKQ / RT18DKXKT Top Freezer Refrigerator
Got frig from parents. Add on ice maker was removed, and put in thier new frig. Now this one trips the GFI when pluged in. I looked loose or frayed wires but found none. When I unplug what I belive is the freezer thermostat; a large wire loop going under the coils, the GFI does not trip??? The same thing happens using other outlets so its not the GFI
Hi, Are you unplugging the big black hard wire that goes under the evaporator coil in the freezer. If so, that is the defrost heater and it has gone bad. Please let me know if I can explain anything further.
