Triton trance 2nd generation

The mains RCD fuse blew and now none of the lights on the shower work although they do flash when powered on, the unit itself is still operating without issue, can you offer any advice?

SOURCE: triton electric shower runs cold

hi it sounds as though the thermostat has gone on top of the can assembly, or moreover it has scaled up & the element needs replacing, if thats the case your better off buying a new unit as the cost of the can assembly & the fitting it will be nearly as much, plus witha new unit you'll be getting a 2 yr guarantee?
Just a thought!

SOURCE: my shower works. water also poors out of a tube beneath the unit

Are you talking about water still coming through the spout at the same time? What overflow pipe are you talking about? If you are talking about the spout, there is a device in the spout that when you pull up on it, the water is diverted to the shower. They have washers in them and it sounds as though the washer is worn out and not making a good seal anymore. You can buy a new generic spout to stop the water or you can take the old one apart and try to find replacement pieces. I have taken one apart and bought a new one to rob the parts off of it before. I hope this is the answer you were looking for. If not, reply to this for clarification and I will try and answer your question more clearly.

you can check the pipe lines there are normally more thane one way to set the pressure of the water one by the shower knobs 2 by the behind the head in the wall there are some water valves that may need to be opened up or by the water heater there are some valves there one coming off the heater one just on a pipe by the heater they may need to be opened. try that if that doesnt work come back and let us know and see what else you can do to fix it

sounds like the pump is broke. better off just replacing whole unit unless you order new pump from triton.

Is it possible to have plumber come inspect? Warranty from purchase place? Since you don't sound you put it in I'm guessing a plumber did? It would've been new to him for the most part and he may have hooked something up wrong? You CAN DIY but realize that we're talking electric AND plumbing here. I'm thinking since it heats up the electric is fine. But check your man's work to see if it's got the 30-45A fuse on a dedicated circuit.
Steps
1.While out ay elect. box turn OFF by removing fuse or switching to OFF. Test unit that it only runs cold water.
2. Find shut off for water. Sometimes you have to shut off whole house! Hopefully somebody added a shutoff. Look on backside of shower for a 1'x1' hatch covering with a cold and hot valve. Turn water off. Test unit to see if it runs.
3. Now use the manual below and get in there and see if its hooked up right. Go slow and take your time. Retrace the install instructions.

Best wishes. Wear nitrile gloves for peace of mind!

DON'T do it if you're not aware of the electrocution issue. Water all over your bathroom (loo?) is one thing, a 230v shock is another!

My triton shower blew its fuse a couple of times and came back on when I 'flipped the switch' back up. Now it's given up altogether. What's the problem?

Assuming that the circuit and fuse protection you have is correct for the kw rating of shower unit the most likely cause would be an element failure however in order to be more definate relevent electrical checks would be required within the shower unit.
The Triton Service Dept who may be contacted by telephone on 0844 980 0750 would be able to arrange a sevice visit for you where the problem may be investigated further for you.

No hot water

Check your fuse/breaker, should be a rcd switch. Depending when the shower was installed the fuse/breaker may be separate from the main fuse board, if it is an rcd switch it should be between 30A and 40A rating. If it is still fuse wire or cartridge fuse it should be replaced by residual current device.
Remember to turn the shower off in the bathroom before returning power to it.
Hope this helps

Turned on a triton trance electric shower it was working ok then it stopped coming out of the shower head and coming out of the overflow pipe at the bottom of the shower unit

The overflow pipe is a pressure relief device which is a small rubber ball that get's ejected when the water pressure inside the shower is too high. You will need to get a spare part to replace this. These generally operate because the showerhose is in poor condition and has collapsed internally, or the showerhead has become clogged up so check these things first.
Good luck.
