Question about KitchenAid Refrigerators
Everything else seems to be working, but I noticed today (first time ever) that the seal around the doors is very hot on the refrigerator and freezer side, too,
This is likely part of the defrosting feature and if it is always hot, the defrost timer has failed and is keeping the seals hot.
The defrost timer is normally located behind the lower grillwork and many are equipped with a slotted shaft that can be turned with a flat-bladed screwdriver. The slot will also let you see if the clock motor inside is running. You would need to mark it and give it time since these things rotate only once every 12-24 hours.
