SOURCE: How to change radio on Almera X reg? Does it take a lot of force to remove original fascia panel?

Did a bit of googling and found this site which showed everything in perfect detail.

http://www.fitaudio.com/?View=entry&EntryID=58

Problem solved! Needed a new fascia panel [which I'd had for a while] and wiring adapters for the new radio/cd but these were easy to get from eBay and Halfords.
In retrospect it would have been less hassle just to have got it fitted professionally.
Wife is all smiles now that she can throw her pile of cassettes away.

SOURCE: Stoves E2H600- lighting behind fascia

A bit involved but quite straightforward.
Open the grill door and you will see 4 screws on the underside of the hob - remove the inner 2.
You can now hinge up the entire hob.
On each side of the hob is a trim piece with 2 screws which retain the glass front panel. Remove these and the end trims.
Carefully pull the timer buttons away from the fascia - the simply click into position.
The glass panel can now be tilted up and removed - it is pocketed at the top.
Each of the control knob assembly can then be easily pulled away from the controls.
The fluorescent tube is situated below the controls in a recess.
Rotate the tube through 90° and lift the tube out.
Refitting is the reverse of the above procedure.

The "push pin fasteners" are the pain you are having i believe. They push in, but to get them out you need squeeze them on the back & pull at the same time. If you happen to break a few, you can buy them in various sizes at the auto parts store. I hope this information is helpful, an owners manual will not have any info like this in it.

How to change lighbulbs behind the panel board of 1998 Toyota Corolla?

Using a short phillips screwdriver, remove the 3 screws that holds the fascia over the plastic inst panel lens. Pull this fascia towards you, and remove it from the dash. With the fascia out of the way, you will see 4 screws holding the instrument cluster to the instrument panel. Remove the 4 screws. Pull the instrument pod towards you, and, working behind the pod, disengage all of the wire connectors behind the pod. When all of the wire connectors are removed, take the pod from the dash, and look at the back side; the bulbs are accessible there. The bulbs are not special; hope this helps, and THANK YOU for choosing FixYA!
