How much r these watches worth b4 I even consider repair? Thx

If you are interested to have some idea about how much are worth your unspecifies watches, go to ebay and look for similar models. might give you idea if worth or not to repair them
Please take note that an old watch, if not in good shape, faultless, has really no collectors value, just because it's old. There are too many old watches around. If has gold parts, only worth value of the gold. Goldfilled watches are not worth anything if they are not perfect.

mcdevito75 here, One year old, most likely the factory Battery and at 1 year old the battery is old, who knows how long the battery was in the watch before you bought it 1 year ago?? The battery is the first suspect. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area for a new battery first.

I was told that the circuit boark is defective. I was also informed that Seiko does not any longer support repairs for this watch because it is over 20 years old.

Hi...The circuit Board my be defective if an old battery was left in to long ...As for not beeing supported any longer this watch is still beeing sold and is less than 20 years old it should still be supported a solution would be to replace the battery and gently clean the circut board with a dry soft clean tooth brush mainly the areas where the battery is placed

Jasmin is twice as old as rodney nine years ago

Hi,

Let the present age of the Rodney = X
present Age of the Jasmin = Y

As per the Situation,

Y-9 = 2 (X - 9)
Y-9 = 2X - 18
Y = 2X - 18 +9
Y = 2X-9

Second,

X + Y = 45
Y = 45 - X

Taking Both the situations,

2X - 9 = 45 - X
3X = 54
X = 54/3 = 18

Y = 45 - 18 = 27

Hence,

Age of Jasmin = 27

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Your watch needs to be clean,so that the old oil will be taken out,and change it with a new fresh oil.Old oil can caused the machine to stop,because old oil become sticky causing machine small gear stuck up and gear shafting can't move .
