It sounds like you may have had a power supply failure. Often, the "sizzle" sound is something shorting or a capacitor failing. I would suggest either trying a new cable in case something failed inside it or opening it up to check the internal power supply apparently many of these have failed in the original xbox.

Samsung TV won't turn on. Red light is solid, won't blink when pressed. All capacitors seem fine (none swollen or vented).

That model is covered under a class actions lawsuit settlement over bad power supply boards. You need to contact Samsung about this and get a warranty claim started, even if the original warranty is over the settlement terms will cover parts and labor. You can get additional information about this along with contact information here: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/samsung-has-reached-a-settlement-in-class-action-lawsuit-over-faulty-tv-power-supplies/

Sony google tv makes sizzling sound

Even after switch off, there can be some discharge of static charges present in and around TV, hot plastic parts can contract and make some noise. Some sets have the cooling fan run for a few seconds more to reach a particular temp, before it is turned off. Just try switching off the power outlet, and removing the plug and see.

I was at a friends house and I was playing on the original Xbox 360 with my new Xbox Slim controller now my new xbox slim controller will not connect to my new Xbox? It was working fine before my friend...

Hmmm.....that's sounds weird. The controllers are passive devices. They shouldn't change as far as hardware behavior because they're just that - hardware. Unless the one you have has some sort of CMOS programmable feature? I've never heard of that before. The only recommendation I have is to check the pins on the plug - maybe the old xBox damaged a pin.

Power supply light stays orange and wont turn on the XBOX PRO. HELP!

I hope this helps The power supply light is orange for one of the following reasons:
  • The console is turned off.
  • The power supply is not plugged into the console or the connection is not tight.
  • The power supply is not functioning properly.
Note An orange light usually indicates that the power supply is connected to electricity and ready to power the console. When you turn on the console, the power supply light should change from orange to green. If your console does not turn on, please see the following Knowledge Base articles: 907588 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907588/ ) Your original xbox 360 console will not turn on

1) The Xbox was unswitched and then turned on again, there is now no power to the X Box at all. 2) One of the handset connections is lose as well and a part seems to be missing.

The (old) xbox should boot up without any controllers and without any disc in the drive. If you get no lights at all on on the front panel, check the power cord to be sure it's connected.

Some original xboxes had a circuit breaker in the power cord. The plug is large and has a yellow and red button on it. If this is present, check to see if the breaker needs to be reset. If it keeps blowing, then your power supply needs to be replaced.

If this is an xbox 360, then you entered your product incorrectly. You may want to open a new request here.
