Question about NetGear WGR614 Wireless Router
Want to lock my router so only i can use it not my neighbors
Hard wire your computer to the router using an ethernet cable. Navigate to http://192.168.0.1/ Username:Blank Password:admin by default select the wireless settings tab and enable WEP128 security type in a passphrase and copy down some of the WEP keys generated by the router. Apply your changes. Then connect with your laptop to the network using the new key you have made. For further security go back to 192.168.0.1 turn off broadcast ssid and be sure to change your password and username to somthing else. Your router is now secure. Short of a guy sitting outside your window packet spamming you for two days. However on a home network that should not be a concern in the least.
