Question about Toys

I have a 1988 New Bright Remote controlled Fire Truck. It has lights, siren, ladder that goes up,down, extends, retracts, and rotates and the truck goes forward, reverse, left, and right. I cleaned it up using a damp cloth and now the ladder will no go up or down. It still extends, retracts and moves left and right. Just will not go up or down. Any suggestions.

Remove the screws on the bottom of truck. Be careful and separate bottom and body on its side. Now its trial and error time follow the wires one at a time and obviously look for a broken wire and check the wires going to the circuit board.. 90 % chance you will find the problem!

Only a suggestion but if the ladder up/down mechanism is a friction drive through rubber wheels then perhaps they are damp and sliding against each other. Time and warm air around the engine will cure this if that is what it is.

How to install python 594 in a diesel

install like a regular remote start alarm. You will have to tap into the glow plug wire, and change the setting on the brain to "wait to start" for the glow plugs.

If you have not installed a remote start alarm before:
1.install the siren under the hood and run the wire through the fire wall into the cab.
2. Mount antenna at the top center of the windshield then run wire around and down to drivers floor.
3. mount shock sensor with a ziptie to the steering column (as long as the steering column doesn't move/rotate)
4. separate the wires you are going to need, from the ones you won't need.(specific per vehicle):12+, Gnd, Parking lights, IGN, IGN2, ACC, ACC2, Starter, lock, unlock, brake, glow plugs...
5. zip tie and tape off the unused wires.
6. use wire diagram and find then test the vehicle wires.
7. connect RS/Alarm to vehicle, plug in antenna and shock sensor, then attach siren.
8. BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE-GO INTO PROGRAMING AND CHANGE THE SETTING FOR A DIESEL !
9. now you can test the functions of the RS/Alarm,
BE SURE TO KEEP A WINDOW ROLLED DOWN, OR HAVE A SET OF KEYS OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE!

Beret 2 way 5000m alarm siren problem.

These Alarms are so very fickle. If the Alarm lasted a year, then you are out of warranty and I have removed more than my fair share of Alarm's. As the Vehicle owner, you need to realize that your problem is quite common and you should be grateful it has not complete immobilized your bike. My Recommendation is... Remove it and return it to Stock or spend the money and get a higher quality alarm with a great reputation. Don't truck the Install Shop, they get tied to one brand, find the Alarm that meets YOUR NEEDS...

New Bright, F-150, Red Thunder 4X4: Truck goes into "static" mode when forward or reverse is pushed on remote. In other words, truck starts up when turned on, steering, horn and lock work fine,...

Get new battery, I have 4 batteries, all will turn it on, get horn lights, sound. 2 do the exact same thing yours is doing, 1 runs about 5 min then starts into your problem, 1 is good and will run for about 20 mins.

I just bought Volunteer Fire Truck # 1 at a yard sale in perfect condition.it is missing the ladders and I would like to purchase them.

Company is out of business. Similar fire truck recalled in 2002 for lead paint hazard. See:

Not sure if your model has lead paint. You should have it tested.

The Wildfire rc monster truck can play the sound and lights, but the remote control will not operate the truck... new batteries have been tried. Any suggestions?

There may be a frequency setting on the remote control, the vehicle, or both. The switch typically looks the same as the On/Off switch only "A" and "B" would replace on and off. If the product has this feature, make sure that the switches on both items matches.

Can be somewhat complicated to explain, particularly without knowing the make, model & year of the truck and which bypass was used to integrate into the factory systems. But here's one thing it might be. The Viper system is aftermarket obviously, when the alarm is triggered the siren with start to sound, and sometimes the horn will honk as well (depending on the vehicle and the bypass). If the siren isn't blaring that means the Viper system was disarmed when you unlocked the doors but not your factory security....or another way to word it is if only the horn is honking and no siren then you're factory alarm system isn't being controlled by the viper remote the way it should be. The factory disarm wire needs to be connected. It's a light green wire with a black stripe in a red connector in the Viper alarm brain. For anything more specific I'd need some more info on the vehicle. You can email me at jared@underground-audio.net if you'd like.

I have repaced the control module, and distributor brand new my coil is testing good. I am wondering if it is my ECU also. The plug coming off distributor has one wire showing bright on test light, and one showing a dim light on test light and was wondering if you have checked these wires? Trying to figure out what will make these both shine bright.

Where does the blue/white remote wire hook to.

Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question. It sounds to me like you haev a 1989 GMC truck, and you've installed a JVC CD player in it. The CD player has a blue and white wire coming out of the back, and you would like to know where it goes and what it does. Is that right? If so, then the blue/white wire labeled "Remote" coming out of your CD player is intended to turn on an external amplifier or some other "remote device". If your truck has a power antenna installed, this would be the wire that tells your power antenna to extend and retract. Many stereos have two of these wires - one for the power antenna and one for an amplifier. If you don't have an amplifier or power antenna, you don't need to do anything with this wire, just leave it alone and make sure it doesn't touch any bare metal behind the radio. Hope this helps.

Power antenna does not go all the way up, does not power retract

Does the motor continue to run even though the mast doesn't retract? Is there a loud 'click - click - click" as it tries to retract and extend or more of a chattering noise? Did you clean and lubricate the spool into which the toothed belt goes when the antenna retracts? Use an all weather grease (white lithium). Did you clean the teeth on the gear that drives the belt? There is a small metal guide where the belt meets the drive gear, sometime this wears and allows the belt to slip on the gear. Pull the giude straight out, then rotate it 180 degress and reinstall.
