No audio output device installed is showing and no sound is coming.

My laptop is compaq presario cq40 144 tu.it has a problem of audio.it shows no audio output device is installed.

If you have xp or vista go to device manager area and uninstall the device then click find new device it should sort the drivers out for you to work again

if it dosent work for you get back to me and ill see what can be done for you

Go to control panel, audio/sound and check if your devise is configured ok. Adjust and test. Failing that go to Microsoft. com and download Fix IT. Install this free tool and fix audio plus whatever....Lastly check device manager.
