Question about Washing Machines

Open Question

Whirlpool lhw0050pq4 For the past week the washer has been very temperamental. You could hear it lock but it would never fill and start. If you hit prewash and the start it MAYBE would work about once every 5-6 attempts. Now after it seemed to have worked its own kinks out its stuck on lock. With that being said with it stuck on lock it will start and go all the way through every cycle every time the start button is pressed but it still has the same load locked in. Is this a problem with the locking mechanism?

If you push the end of cycle button for 5-6 secs. It turns the control lock on, do it again, and it turns the control lock off, on both the washer and the dryer

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Error code F 32

Plug off the wall. Open up behind, you will see a thin tube coming down from the control panel (pressure switch to be precise) to the waste area below. Disconnect this carefully from the top, blow into it, air should pass thru, it shd not be clogged; refit carefully. Before refitting, fit a similar tube to the pressure switch & blow - you should hear a click; if not there shd be a problem with your pressure switch. Anyway refit your old tube & try the machine.

Dont forget to refit the main exit hose at the position you found it. All you guys are going to rate me....................

probably motor control bd but on some early models when both control bds (1 under top and 1 under bottom panel)came together in a kit worked great since sometimes hard to determine exactly which control bd was actually causing the problem if you are sure wash motor is not running and belt is not off

According to the service manual, if the washer won't drain or spin the drain may be clogged.
