Question about Washing Machines
I just replaced one davey xj70 with a new davey xj70 because it stopped working. Motor wouldn't start. Installed the new pump as I have installed in the past. Found out that there is a valve that had to be removed from inlet, done that. the motor runs but the water stops after about 8 secs. any ideas what is wrong.

SOURCE: Replacing water inlet valve
First of all, UNPLUG the washer before attempting any repairs, and follow these steps:
1. You will need to remove the washer top panel by loosening the three screws in the back. With the screws removed, the panel slides back, then off.
2. Turn off the water supply valves and disconnect the water inlet hoses.
3. The inlet valve should be very simple to replace at this point. Disconnect the electrical connections and the hose(s) leading from the valve to the dispenser.
4. There should be a a mounting screw holding the inlet valve to the back panel. Remove the old inlet valve and install the new valve in the reverse order of the steps I just provided.
This is should be a fairly straight forward repair that anyone can accomplish without the assistance of a repairman. If you get confused along the way, please post back and let me know. i hope this answers your questions.

You probably pinched the water fill hose that comes up from under the tub when you closed the cabinet. Also make sure it is free from trash in the bottom of the tub and that it is tightly connected to the water level switch.

Your problem may be one of the following:
First check or just replace the fuel filter. Usually located under the car in front of the rear axle, drivers side.
Next, the fuel pump may be worn out. Usually they just stop working (running).
Next, check the fuel pressure regulator. Usually located on the front fuel rail, drivers side.
Is the vacuum line attached? Not leaking or rotted?
Also, do you smell a strong fuel odor when it won't start? May be one or more stuck-open injectors, or the coil pack is bad.
Checking these in the order listed will more than likely fix your problem.
The clicking noise indicates the battery can no longer run the starter, which also means the fuel pump won't run either.
It could be a fuel issue. How old is the fuel filter? Can you hear the pump run for a few seconds when you turn the key on? Try turning the key to ON without trying to start engine three times waiting for the pump to stop running each time. Then try to start the engine. If it starts, Its a form of Vapor lock caused by the extreme heat we have had lately, and a weak fuel pump.
If none of this works, try a new fuel filter first. From there have someone check the fuel pressure regulator and then the pump. If you are in need of a new pump, take my word for it and spend the money to get one from a Dealer, and not from your favorite parts store. Most parts store parts are made in China and they are JUNK.
