Try reloading the page. It might just be reloading, though. Check the top left-hand corner of the screen and if there is an X, it is reloading. If there is something that looks like a circle, it isn't reloading.

I put a message on my facebook dec8 I wilike to see it again

on your facebook page, go to the top right and click on your name (beside home), it will take you to your page, in bottom right of your picture click on review activity log. It will take you to all your activity, scroll down to Dec 8 and your message should be there. If you are talking about a message to an individual, go to top right on home page, there are two little boxes to the left of the globe, click on that and your messages to other people will pop up.

Advertising my URL on facebook

Click on, "what's on your mind?" at the top of your home page and you can put it there. Or you can send a message to yourself and enter it there. The first method will scroll down your page, the 2nd will be there for you if you forget.

How do I retrieve old messages on facebook?

Fortunately, facebook archives your messages. On the home page, click on the messages icon, then click on "See All Messages". From there, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and in the very bottom of the gray outline box around your messages, it says View: unread, archived, etc... Click on archived, and it will bring up the messages that have been deleted for you.
