Bissell vacuum 2 years old. Starts, goes for a while then stops. Have to wait before it starts again.

you are describing
motor over heating causing the thermal overload to click off
will only restart once cool enough

suggest the cause is

motor could be full of dust
clogged filters that allow motor to breath
motor bearings /bushes worn
motor past use by date

Motor stops and won't restart until a cool down

Bushings or bearings in the motor are no longer good, heat up as the motor turns and seize up.
They are probably replaceable but if the shafts are worn or there is other damage to the bearing/bushing holders then you'll have to replace that too and you might consider getting a whole new vacuum for the cost.
Of course, unplug it before attempting to take it apart.

No power what do I do when I stopped and tried ti start again no power . Emptied it and cleaned filter but still not working

All vacuums generate heat and some have automatic cut off switches when the vacuum does overheat. When this happens the manufacturer does not want you to just turn it back on, they want you to know there was a problem and to let it cool down. They often do this with a restart button. Having to press a restart button is supposed to make you think a bit more about the problem and, perhaps, let the motor cool down before restarting the vacuum. The button is often small and red.

Blue Moon Miele power head stops intermittantly

It is not a solid short. This is caused by static arcing in the wand and in the connectors from base to hose. I was able to fix mine by smearing some dialectric grease on all electrical parts in the wand(especially by the led switch) and in the three prong connectors at the base to hose. Have not had nay problems since doing this.

Re: Rainbow E-series Cleaning System

Check the separator to see if it will turn freely, if not, take it off and see if the shaft will turn, if it does then the separator is causing a problem. If you can't turn the shaft, then there is a problem with the motor, and you will have to check the motor.
