WILL NOT EJECT DISC

What is the model number of your DVD player? You may try power resetting the unit and check if it helps. To power reset, turn OFF the DVD player and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray.

Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.

If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

DVD PLAYER to TV HOOKUP

57b6c82.jpg

Basic DVD player hookup to TV cable diagram. RCA cable (yellow) video and RCA cables (white and red) audio. This is all you need for picture and sound. If your TV only has a single RF input, then you need a RF modulator. RF modulators accept the yellow, white and red cables and output a coaxial cable to the TV single input jack. Usually the TV is tuned to channel 3 or 4 to pickup the RF modulators output.

Alternative connection options are many and include HDMI for HDTVs, component video and for sound, surround sound digital audio connection using optical or coaxial digital audio cable.

Surround sound requires a decoder such as a A/V receiver with Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS 5.1 or more. 6 speakers connected to the A/V receiver surrounds the listener.

Bluray players will play DVDs and Bluray discs. Bluray gives you High Definition video and typically connects to a HDTV using a HDMI cable.

Nexxtech ESDVD100 DVD player gone bad, how to replace?

You can try cleaning it with a dvd disk cleaner first. If that dont work by a cheap dvd player and run it to the inputs on the back of the surround player.

I have a Yamaha carousel d.v.d. player and the carousel is jammed. i cannot load or eject. how can I unjam?.

If you are technically inclined, you may be able to fix this. Any discs not in the carousel correctly must be CAREFULLY removed - NO FORCE. Inspect the carousel for damage. Look at the disc pick fingers and see if they are broken. Remove all discs and run the unit to see if it goes 'home', disc one. With the discs in, you take the chance it cannot run right and damages more discs.
I use the clear cover disc from DVD stacks as fake discs. I can see everything the machine does through the clear plastic.

No surround sound with Prima HT-TW57P DVD System

I realize this may sound silly but it could be the disc your are playing. Some DVDs are not mixed for surround sound and thoes that are produce very little sound from the rears.

Rear speakers were meant for effect, not meant to distract you from the picture.

Give this a try, get a movie playing that is 5.1 surround sound. Check that the home theatre is not set to stereo mode, if it is change the surround mode on the unit. Now that you are in the middle of an action scene disconnect the front speakers and see if there is background noise comming out of the rears.

If its still dead let me know more details about the system and I will work on a solution.

Cheers,

Locked??

I had this problem, it was a jammed disc. I disconnected the dvd player and removed the cover. Then I checked out the trays and sure enough a disc was jammed. It took a bit of very gentle work to free the disc as the jammed tray needed to be unlocked so the tray self slid and released the offending disc. Once that was done I placed the cover back on and reconnected the wiring...and all was well.
