I want to reset my security code which i have forgot

If there was a method for the end-user to reset the security code then it would be common knowledge and the security code itself would be worthless.

Your only option now is to take the phone to a Nokia Care Point along with proof of ownership and they will reset it completely, thus setting the security code back to the default 12345.

It will also wipe the memory completely, so if there's anything you want to salvage before giving the phone away then do a backup beforehand.

Nonetheless, try this code if it still persists.... *#7780#

Best of luck!

The best thing you could do in this situation is a Master Reset. The master reset will wipe everything on the phone but restore everything back to factory settings. If you want to reset the phone dial ##7780# then type in the factory pin which is 12345. This will wipe the phone completely.

Cant send text messages, just saves them to outbox

You should try a hard reset. Doing a hard reset will reset the item to factory settings. Please make sure you backup before performing the hard reset as the phone will be completely wiped. Once the reset has completed, you should be able to send messages. All you must do to reset is:

Is there an option in nokia pc suit to restore ur phone to factory settings ?

Hi ,friends,
You can restore the software and the hardware
Due to the amount of data it handles, a slow down in your phone may arise or a conflict in applications may occur, or worse, a total malfunction in your Nokia E71 may happen. A hard reset should be done only as a last resort as it will wipe out most data and new applications you have installed.
