Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator board, or replace the board as card basis. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts. Try it in Mosaic view.

SOURCE: Olevia LT42HVi - Need to toggle power switch on back of TV off/on all the time

You swapped the power strip. How about swapping the cord with another. Most LCD and Plasma TV used a cord similar to the cord use for the power supply of PC (IEC line plug). If still it doesn't work. Time to open the back to access the connector terminal which came loose (Due to heat) if not soldered directly to the power supply PCB. Just pinch the spade crimp, better still solder it. Make sure to lay the TV flat, face down on a smooth surface table if you're repairing it yourself.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: Stopped receiving sky on second tv - does my samsung need a reset

I install a lot of magic eyes etc.

You have checked that the magic eye lights up when it is connected directly into the sky box. So your eye is working correctly.

the next step I would take is with your sky remote in your main room. press SERVICES, 4, 0,1, SELECT go to RF settings and check the rf channel and make sure the power is on. Take a mental note of the channel number.

Now go into the room where the link is feeding. Turn on the TV and go to channel number 6 press your MENU button and then go down to setup. go across to manual install and then down to the channel number type in what you retrieved from you box ie rf channel and then type it in and STORE.

If you go into your main room and just put the normal tv guide on ie blue screen. then check that your getting the sky into the other room. IF you are then great it just needed tuning in. IF not I would remake the coax connectors. as there may be a bit of copper braid touching the centre core. once this is done your sky should be on all you need to do now is put the eye back on. Once you have done this the red light should appear on your magic eye. if not go to your main box and follow the first instructions I gave you and turn the power off on the RF and then save and then go back in and turn it back on and save.

Hope this sorts out your problem

Cheers

Luxor 0143001 - no power?

If your Luxor 0143001 TV was working fine and suddenly made a popping sound and stopped working, it is likely that there was a power surge or some other electrical issue that caused damage to the TV's internal components.
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power source: Make sure the power outlet that the TV was plugged into is working. You can test this by plugging in another device and seeing if it powers on.
  2. Check the power cable: Make sure the power cable is securely plugged into the TV and the power outlet. If the cable is loose, try unplugging it and plugging it back in to ensure a secure connection.
  3. Check the fuse: If the TV is still not turning on, there may be a blown fuse inside the TV. You will need to open the TV and check the fuse. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, it is best to take the TV to a qualified technician.
  4. Check for other damage: If the TV made a popping sound, there may be other damage to the internal components. You may need to take the TV to a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that the TV's internal components have been damaged beyond repair

Have vizio vp50 part#1014350022 went to turn it on and nothing no lite sound or anything.Tried the reset nothing any ideas. thank you

The first thing to check is if your power outlets have surge protector breakers. Try plugging in another simple appliance like a lamp into the outlet and make sure the outlet has power.
If the outlet is fine try plugging in the TV and listening very carefully from the back of the TV for a subtle click noise. The power supply has a mechanical relay that switches when the TV receives power. If you can not hear the click and there are no stand by or power lights illuminated then you likely have a power supply problem. This could range from a blown fuse to a bad capacitor up to a burnt out power regulator. Anything more serious than those problems may warrant simply replacing the whole power supply. Depending on your TV that board could cost anywhere from $50-$175. The power supply can be tested using a multimeter to determine if it is the source of the problem but this should not be attempted unless you have some electroics repair training and are aware of the dangers involved in working on high voltage electronics.

Why did my tv just go to a black screen?

Hello JoAnn Foxworth,

Welcome and thank you for using FixYa!

To answer your questions: I recommend you begin by checking the outlet where the TV is plugged in, or the APC/Surge protector, for power. You can use a hair dryer or lamp for example. If you establish that there is power flowing to the outlet where the TV was plugged in, then the TV will have to have the internal fuses and power supply tested, possibly replaced. If there is no power flowing to the TV, check your fuse box for blown breakers, or bypass the APC/surge protector and plug the TV straight to the wall to test for power.

Bush LCDS20TV007 will not switch on at all, no light at all.

If there is no power at all , then it is a power adapter problem.

Test the TV on a different outlet, and if the power cord is fused check the fuse inside power plug.

If this does not fix the problem, then usually the TV has a faulty power board.

No power

Check the power cable and test a different power outlet.

If you are in UK also check the fuse inside the TV power plug.

If you do not find anything wrong , then either the fuse on power board, or one of the power board capacitors had blown, and the TV must be disassembled and tested to fix the problem.
