It is not uncommon for a person to have more than one email account.
Most email service providers offer their customers a way to import email contacts and messages from other email accounts into the account maintained by the provider.

Some email service providers, such as Gmail and Yahoo Mail, have an email migration tool built in to their email interface.

Other providers, such as Comcast, direct their customers to use the TrueSwitch email migration tool.

Log in to your Gmail account.

Open the Gmail settings menu by clicking the pinwheel icon located in the top right corner of the window. Select "Mail setting."

Go to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
Click "Import mail and contacts."
Follow the on-screen instructions to import your address book from another email account into your Gmail account. Import Address Book Into Yahoo Mail Account

Log in to your Yahoo mail account. Click "Contacts."
Open the "View" drop-down menu. Select "All Contacts."
Open the "Tools" drop-down menu. Select "Import."

How to import your AIM buddys into Gmail

To set it up, just head to the Import to Gmail page and log in to AIM. Once you've logged in, it will prompt you to enter your Gmail credentials as well. When it's done, it will tell you your contacts are imported-that's it! If you head to Gmail, you should see all your AIM contacts pop up in the Chat sidebar. Note that it only imports the 38 contacts you chat with the most, so if you have more than that, it looks like you'll have to add them manually. The Upsides: You Only Need One Login; You Get AIM on Android The Main idea behind the switch is that you won't have to deal with two separate logins within Gmail from now on. The other really cool part about this is that you can log into both protocols from one IM client. Since nearly every IM client under the sun has both GTalk and AIM, this isn't a big deal for desktop users, but it does mean that Android users can now IM their AIM buddies right from Google's official GTalk app, which is great, since it's probably the best IM client on Android.
The Downsides: It's Confusing and Kind of Buggy Unfortunately, the whole implementation still seems confusing at best, and buggy at worst. Your AIM buddies will no longer see your AIM screen name when you log in; instead it will create a new contact for them using your Gmail address. However, I had the problem where some of my contacts weren't even showing up in the sidebar-some were only showing their Google Talk contacts, some were showing only AIM, and some were showing up twice, like they used to (though some showed up after a small wait, so perhaps it just takes awhile for everything to register). It's not combining them, either (which would be awesome)-it's just excluding some contacts from my buddy list entirely. In addition, the 48 contact limit for the importer is kind of a drag if you have a lot of AIM buddies.
If you use a desktop IM client, of course, you'll be unaffected by all this, and can continue using GTalk and AIM separately. In fact, we'd recommend doing so. Unless you're really itching to get AIM in the Gmail web interface or on Android's Talk app, using a desktop client is still the easiest way to get access to both, and we'd recommend against importing your AIM contacts into Gmail-at least for now. Have you tried the new AIM integration in Gmail? How does it work for you? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
Login my gmail account

I assume that you can still access your account with an old password that you need to change. If this is not the case then the procedure is different.
Login to your account and click on the "cogwheel" in the upper right of the gmail box and select settings. When this comes up there is a tab at the top labelled "Accounts & Imports", click on this and the first option is to change your password. Click on this and follow the instructions.
If you have not remembered your password to get in you should go to the sign in page and click on "Need help?" and follow the instructions through. To do this you need to have given Google an alternative email address or some other way of contact to recover your username and/or password when you set the account up.
Good luck

Login to gmailnebrlady1@gmail.com

Transfer Email to a Different Server

Each of the free-email providers has its own server on which to store the emails in its system. Gmail from Google, Hotmail from Microsoft, Yahoo! mail from Yahoo! and the rest all run their own servers, and one account from one server cannot go into another from a different server.

So if you've switched from Yahoo! to Gmail and want to get all the emails stored in the Yahoo! server over to the Google server, you have to transfer that email data.

Luckily, since the services are free, transferring the email is also free.
Log into your email account in the server that you are looking to transfer to.

So if you are transferring from Yahoo! to Gmail, log into your Gmail account.
Click on the "Settings" or "Option" button for your email address and then click the "Accounts" or "Accounts and Imports" button to look at the accounts.

Click on the "Import from another account" or "Add account" buttons and then type in the log-in information for the account that you want to transfer the emails from.
In the example given, you are transferring from Yahoo! to Gmail so you will need to type in your Yahoo! log-in information.

Wait for the server to transfer all of the contacts and email from the old server (Yahoo!) to the new server (Gmail).

Get My Yahoo Mail Moved to My Gmail Account

Nearly everyone has multiple email accounts for different purposes, and occasionally you may need to transmit information from one account to another.

Gmail makes it easy to import data from other Internet email providers via the TrueSwitch email migration service.

You can use TrueSwitch to migrate all of your Yahoo email data without even leaving the Gmail program window.

Navigate to the Gmail website and log in to your Gmail account.
Click the "Tools" icon in the upper right corner of the program window and click "Mail settings" in the drop-down menu.

Click the "Accounts and Import" tab in the settings window.
Click the "Import mail and contacts" button to start the mail import wizard.

Type your Yahoo email account address in the text field and click the "Continue" button.
Type your Yahoo email account password in the text field and click the "Continue" button.

Check the box next to each type of data that you want to import from your Yahoo email account. You can choose to import contacts, mail, and new mail that you receive within 30 days.
You can also specify a label that you want attached to all imported mail. Click the "Start Import" button.

The TrueSwitch service will begin importing the desired data.
It may take between several hours and two days for all of your data to be imported from your Yahoo account.

I have a nextbook next6 tablet. it comes up with an error reading android.process.acore. all the time. can you help me.

This Android OS acore error seems to lie within contacts synchronization going wrong.
Because of that we need to clear all contacts (and restore them). This is how to do it:
Step 1 - clearing all contacts information
1.First of all, make a backup of all your contacts. You can do this easily by downloading ExportContacts from Market, fire up the app and export contacts to a csv file on your phone memory card. To be sure, copy the csv file to your hard drive too.
2.Then go to Menu -> Settings -> Data synchronization and turn of all synchronization.
3.Go to Settings -> Applications and tap Manage Applications. The list of applications will now take a while to load. When it's finished, find Contacts Storage, tap Clear data and tap Clear cache.
Note: all your contacts information will now be wiped out - but you're safe - you've already exported the contacts.
4.Turn on synchronization again (Menu -> Settings -> Data synchronization).
Step 2 - restore contacts information
Now we just need to restore the contacts information, which is saved in the csv file we created before. We will do this by importing the csv file to Gmail and let Gmail synchronize with the Android phone.
Note: You can import csv files to almost any email program or service, preferably Outlook or Gmail.
1.Login to your Gmail account -> Go to Contacts -> Click Import (top right corner).
2.Click Choose File -> Choose your csv file -> Click Import.
3.Done!
Now it might take a short while (a minute or so) for the phone to synchronize your Gmail contacts.
When the synchronization is finished you've got your contacts in Gmail and in the phone.
Shut for tablet down for 30 seconds. Boot it back up.

Hi

Here's a really simple and straightforward way to transfer contacts from almost any Sony Ericsson mobile phone (non-Android of course) to your HTC Desire:
 1. Download and install MyPhoneExplorer (free)
 2. Connect up your Sony Ericsson phone with the USB cable
 3. Extract your contacts to a single VCard file
 4. Go to GMail and login to the account you use with your Desire
 5. Go to Contacts
 6. In the top-right corner select Import
 7. Select the VCard file that was created by MyPhoneExplorer
 8. Once the import is complete you can organise them into any group(s) that you want
 9. On your Desire go to Settings > Accounts and Sync, select your Gmail Account and Sync Contacts
 10. Voila!
All your contacts should now appear on your HTC Desire!
