SOURCE: I pulled out the cable plug from the tv unit where

The threaded core that was pulled off the main board might be repairable. It just depends on what the tuner on the main board looks like now. However, It may be too bad to repair.
Keep in mind, if a shop does solder the core back on… it will not be as strong and it could easily break off again. Also, the repair shop may charge you almost as much as a new board for this type of repair.
The best way to repair your TV is to get a new main board.
I can get you the part number if you need it. Good Luck.

I have an rca hdlp6iw51 and i found a color wheel on ebay but i dont know how to change it does anyone have any advice

Follow this steps:
1. Take the back panel off of your set, using your Phillips head screwdriver, to remove any screws. 2. Remove the projector lamp. You can reach the color wheel without doing it, but you are less likely to damage the projector lamp if you take it out. Loosen the screws at the base: depending on your DLP's brand, the screws may come out, or may just loosen. If they come out, set them in a safe place before removing the lamp. If not, just pull the entire lamp out, once the screws will not loosen further. 3. Take out the panel that is connected to the cable outlets, using the screwdriver to take out any screws. Pull the panel until the cables, attached from the inside, run out of slack.
4. Remove the screws at the bottom of the panel, in the center, and any screws connecting this panel to the outer case of your DLP. The number and location of these screws will vary depending on your DLP's brand.

  • 6 Pull out the entire center unit, pulling gradually. Then, unplug the power cable from the main set (this is generally blue and brown). Remove the sensor switch and any cables joining the center unit to either side of the set.
  • 7 Take out the plug from the cover of the color wheel. In most brands, it will have a black and blue wire connected to a green circuit board. Then, remove any cables coming out of the wheel. Depending on the brand, the screws may be small enough to require the jeweler's screwdriver.
  • 8 Remove the screws holding the color wheel cover in place. Remove the cover, then take out the screws holding the wheel in place. If tape is holding the wheel, just pull on the wheel until it comes free.
  • 9 Put the new wheel into the slot. You do not want to touch the wheel, or you will blemish it and leave impressions that will be visible when the light shines through it. Re-insert the screws. Then, replace the cover, making sure that the wire jacks are in the same places.
  • 10 Reassemble the DLP television, then plug the set into the wall, and turn on the power.

When I flip my acer aspire 4315 screen it goes white.

A laptop display is one of the most expensive single parts to replace. It can be frightening to try to boot up your Acer Aspire one day and have it display only a white screen. Unless the screen itself has been broken, the cable between the laptop and the screen has either become disconnected or broken. This is a relatively cheap repair.

    Disassembly
1.Disconnect the unit from AC power and remove the battery. This can be done by flipping the unit over, pressing the latch on the bottom of the unit and then pulling the battery away.
2.Remove the two screws revealed by removing the battery. Remove two additional screws set into the corners of the base on the edge where the battery was.
3.Turn the laptop over and open the lid. Remove the panel with the power button on it by gently pulling up from the top edge. Remove the keyboard by gently pulling at its top edge to release the four catches on the sides. Once it is free of the catches, flip the keyboard over and lay it down. If you wish, you can disconnect the ribbon cable leading to it and set the keyboard aside.
4.Unplug the video cable. The video cable is the thick wire coming out of the left hinge of the LCD. It is gray and rounded. The cable terminates in a rectangular plug that goes through the top of the laptop base.
5.Turn your attention to the LCD. Remove the rubber feet at each of the corners of the LCD. Remove the four screws that are revealed.
6.Pull the LCD bezel (the plastic part that surrounds the screen) away from the lid by starting at the top and pulling up and away from the inside with a rolling motion. The bezel is secured by plastic latches all around the outside, and pulling up with a rolling motion is the best way to get them to release without breaking. You can also take your blade or screwdriver and insert it between sections of separated lid and bezel to hold them apart and prevent re-latching. Be careful and patient with this step. Believe it or not, this is where the majority of laptop damage is likely to occur.
7.Remove the two cables connecting the inverter board to the LCD screen and the video cable.
8.Remove the four final screws holding the LCD panel into the lid. Two are at the bottom corners, just above and toward the center from the hinges. The other two are at the top center, holding the webcam and LCD to the lid. You should now be able to pull the LCD out of the lid and lay it face down on the base of the laptop.
9.Remove any tape securing the LCD cable gently, and then tug the cable out of its socket and set it aside.

    Replacement and Reassembly
1.Begin by gently inserting the replacement video cable into the socket on the back of the LCD and re-securing the cable with the same tape from earlier. Lift the LCD back into the lid and screw the panel back into place. Finally, re-connect the two cables to the inverter board.
2.Press the bezel back into place with a firm, but not overwhelming, pressure. Each section should "click" when the latch engages and not separate again without effort. Replace the screws holding the bezel in place and then re-cover the screws with the rubber feet.
3.Plug the new video cable into the main board. Use a gentle and even pressure, making sure that everything is lined up. If you disconnected the keyboard, reconnect it and push it gently back into place until the catches reengage. Place the power-button panel back in place and press it down before closing the lid and flipping the laptop over.
4.Replace the four remaining screws and slide the battery back into place. Reconnect the laptop to AC power and turn it on. Your screen should now be functioning normally again!

I hope you find it very helpful. Best regards.

The screen is broken no take pitchure

Remove the battery. Remove the case screws and pull the case apart. Where the flat ribbon cables connect to the main board, carefully release the clamps on the board end plugs. The plugs don't come off, the ribbon just comes out of them. Carefully remove the screen. It has double stick foam in a few spots. Put the new screen in, reconnect the ribbon cables and put the case back together. 30 minutes max.

Always says bad disk on display when you try to play a dvd

Remove top cover (5 screws) and load a DVD while looking under the top of the drive for the red light. If you don't see the red laser light, remove the DVD and turn the unit off. Remove the plastic 1" bar that goes across the top of the drive (2 screws). Pull out the flex cable going to the light and plug it back in. Unplug the other end of the flex cable where it plugs into the motherboard and plug it back in. This fixed mine. It was just a bad connection in the flex cable to the red light laser.

on one rear corner is a cover held on by one screw, this opens up the compartment that has all the connections from top unit to bottom, there are scewered in earth cables about 8 plugs, two ribbon cables, all need to be removed, some go on to a board hidden by a h shaped plate, so unscrew that as well, some also go to a larger board below corner, side of machine slides back, to reveal another metal box that two more screws to open.

Once all cables are detached and you noticed which one went where, take pics! Two screws come off the posts that secure adf to scanner then whole unit slides up and off.

Becarefull to get all cables reattached and in correct sockets

If you just go for it and pull apart the wrecked machine and reomve its adf then you know you are ok to attack the good one
